My kids LOVE it!! Especially on the go and car rides. (And one is a pre-teen, and the other a teen!) Saves on Overages with cell service!! Winner Winner chicken dinner!!!! It sucks as far as resolution. (Being honest.) But...you can't beat the price and you can find really awesome deals on SD cards for it here on Amazon. :) I did!! 2 of them!! :)

Its great for what it does. but there are a few set backs.basically, it allows you to record numerous types of media. you can record video using RCA jacks, music using a headphone jack, (and I think you can view photos as well, but its been a while since i've used mine so I cant remember). all of it is stored on an sd card.while that is pretty neat, the problems with this thing are often to annoying to worry about.the first and most frustrating problem is the battery life which only lasts a few hours. the thing needs to be on in order to record things which means your batteries will be dead by the time its finished recording depending on what you are trying to record. there is the option to use an AC adapter, but that still doesn't account for the short battery life while on the go. it would have been much better if it were powered by a rechargeable battery.quality isn't exactly "hd". when recording, you can decide if you want to record in high quality, normal quality, or low quality. the better the quality the less time you have to record.but i'm my opinion, the quality doesn't really matter much anyway. the screen is pretty terrible its self. the only noticeable difference in the recording quality is a bit of lag during motion... so in other words, unless your watching a movie with a lot of movement, it doesn't really matter that much.verdict:Its a neat little device, and it had potential back when it first came out. but now days we have smart phones, portable gaming consoles, andmp 3 players that allow you to watch movies and TV shows vie Netflix, Hulu, or even download. and while they still cant necessarily record anything, they can do so much more, with better battery, and better quality. I would only recommend this to those who find it necessary to record shows and want something simple and cheap. just remember to bundle a pack of rechargeable batteries.

I bought the video now about two years back for my three year old, I installed kids shows and paid something like $28.00 for it at walmart. She wasnt very interested because she said she couldnt see it. last month I desided to pull it out and give it a try and at five she likes it about as much as she likes her hand-held v-tech. A great tip make sure you upload kids shows with lots of songs and get them some headphones and you're all set. This item is a little pricy here I wouldnt pay more than I would pay for a handheld v-tech.

Boy, that must be some powerful crack the other two reviewers are smoking to give this worthless piece of garbage such a good review! Worst purchase ever!! Fair warning: Don't be taken!! Before you "invest" in this piece of junk, see the reviews listed for "VuGo by Hasbro." "TV Now" is just a rebranding (ie: name change), of this grossly inferior product. Do yourself a favor, do not waste your money. This item is not a good buy at any price. Please, read the VuGo reviews first. I wish I had.

I, too, love this thing for portable tv viewing. I mostly use it on long trips - when my husband is driving, of course. It's also great for long waits (like in a Dr.'s office.) It's not the best video quality, but I've yet to find one of those small sophisticated players with a video input, to record my soaps. My grandkids were very amused when my daughter selected this for my Christmas gift, but it was a great idea!

Ok the only way to describe this thing is its pretty much an IPOD for video. But here's the thing. Its not a HD screen. Its not a PSP. Its just a fun toy.I got it for work. I drive around all day and need this thing. I got a 2GB memory card for it the other day and Put the entire first season of RENO 911 on it and still have 70% of free space on it!!!Its a very decent kids toy that (If your not picky) can be very enjoyable for any age.Anyway I was very happy and use it everyday.
