How can I make my lamp last longer?
- Do not allow the projector to overheat; the primary cause of lamp failure is excessive temperature stress.
- Allow the projector lamp to cool for at least 10 minutes after powering down, and never move the projector during this period or while the lamp is on. The lamp is much more susceptible to damage while it is hot.
- Operate your projector in a clean, relatively dust-free environment to prevent clogging of fans and air filters. These filters should be cleaned regularly.
- Allow plenty of space around the projector's fan or exhaust so excess heat can be dispersed properly.
- Utilize the "economy mode" if it is available with your projector model and is appropriate for your situation. This mode decreases projector brightness but the lamp will last longer.
- Never leave a projector in very hot or very cold environments, for example in a car on a summer or winter day.

Idk if it was tv or the light bulb that was very dim but you had to turn the lights off to see the television

Lamp lasted barely 60 days, then TV cuts off, and shows a box, saying Lamp needs replaced.

The TV in my office is an older one and it doesn't get used much, but it belonged to my father and I like having it around to remind me of him. I turned it on recently after not having watched it in several weeks, and the picture was too dim to even see with the room lights on. I knew that the projector lamps were expensive, and I thought it was the end of the line for the old TV. But, I checked Amazon and found an exact replacement for well under $25 so I ordered it and received it two days later (Thanks, Prime!). It slid in and locked into place perfectly, and when I turned the TV on, after the lamp warmed up I could see it as well as ever. The screen was bright again! I would recommend this lamp to anyone who has a compatible model of Sony TV and a dimming screen. It's a fantastic bargain, and now I can watch old movies and remember sitting with Dad on those late nights when we couldn't sleep watching TV and talking about life.
