constructed very well (solid materials, good stitching, thick bungee), and I really like the pocket for treats, keys, etc.I am still getting used to having he dog attached at the waist (and so is our dog, Pancake) but it seems a nice system for open-area walking....not sure I'd like the relatively immobile connection to my hip for taking the dogs into the woods, where the extra maneuverability of a leash is helpful, but i rarely leash the dogs when we're in the woods anyway.....Very solid product, as I said i am sort of learning the best ways to use it but if you're looking for a waist-leash this seems like an extremely nice one

This is a good idea and seems easy to use. I'm not sure how well it's made, some areas seem to not be sewn very well. We will report back if it breaks or falls apart. Right now it is working well.

This was a surprisingly great item. I was skeptical for many reasons - would it hurt if a dog pulled, would it stay connected, how long would it be, how useful is the pouch, etc.All my concerns were addressed and I've continued to use this as one of my favorite leashes. In full disclosure, I have two dogs, one is a young, active dog while the other is an older, very laid-back dog. This is obviously used for the latter.First, the leash is springy, in that there's some give to it and an elastic portion that resembles a bungie cord. That allows for the dog to pull a little and not pull you excessively or feel like someone is squeezing your stomach. My 40 pound older dog would walk faster at times and it would stretch just enough to avoid hurting my stomach. The pouch works great - while it's slightly small and a larger iPhone wouldn't fit, the smaller iPhones do fit, as well as a wallet or keys. The pouch can also be worn without the leash, so even if you weren't using it as a leash, you could take the pouch. There have been no issues with security - the leash stays on securely, and there have been no issues with the leash coming off or becoming disconnected. I've worn this while holding my more active dog on a normal leash and except for the occasional twisting of leashes, it's worked great. If you have a larger and/or more active dog that pulls, this might not be the best leash to use as you will feel some pulling or tugging. But if you have a somewhat older dog or one that doesn't pull as much, you'll appreciate having your hands free. Recommended!

This leash is ideal for hands-free casual walks or running. I’ve taken my Aussie out for both runs and walks with it, and it works well for both. The extra thick bungee provides ample spring action when my Aussie extends past the limit, and the construction of the leash and zipper pouch is excellent, with a strong clip that securely attaches to the collar or harness. The main zipper compartment is spacious enough to hold an iPhone 14 Pro Max, but that’s the limit. It’s quite a stretch to get it in and out. It’s also big enough to hold a small 8-ounce water bottle, which is convenient for warmer days. I use the smaller flip pocket for poop bags, while the small pocket without a flap is ideal for harder treats that don’t crumble. The leash is comfortable to wear around the waist, either slightly loose for walks or tighter for runs. The leash attaches to only one point on the pouch belt, so the leash and pouch will rotate as the dog goes around you. If you’re training your dog to run or walk on your left side, like I am for Rally competitions, the zipper pocket is always located on your back (when keeping the belt tight). Conversely, if you walk your dog on the right side and keep the belt tight, the zipper pouch will be on your front. While I would have preferred the convenience of having the pouch on my frontside with my Aussie on my left during a run, this is not a significant drawback.I am 5”10”, and the leash is a perfect length for my Aussie to run alongside me without the leash dragging on the ground. Running with the zipper pouch is also comfortable. One additional nice feature is that the leash itself is detachable. You can loop it around a park bench without removing the pouch when sitting for a long period.Overall, this is a well-constructed hands-free leash that I have enjoyed using, and should last a long time. I highly recommend it!

I already have an elastic leash so when this showed up in my feed as 'recommended for you' I asked myself why I would need another one. I originally got this because the owner's belt doubles as a jogger belt and would allow me to carry my keys in the velcro pouch, my z fold phone in the large center pocket and poop bags in the open pocket, which is more organization and utility than any of my other leashes provide--but I wasn't expecting the elastic leash portion to be different. My, was I wrong! The leash is quite different than anything I currently own as well. First of all, the elastic has significantly more tension, which is probably more useful for stronger dogs, but I understand that bungee leashes can lose elasticity over time and this one should last longer. This leash also offers 20 inches of continuous elasticity while my other leash has two 10-inch sections. So there's only one mid-leash handle. Finally, you can shorten the leash by 16 inches so that the majority of the leash is the bungee section. Maybe that's preferred when your walking/jogging alongside busier streets? So lot's of versatility here. And the construction is super durable. The only thing I dislike about the leash is that there is a single FIXED connection point of the leash to the waist belt. It's to the right of the tri-pouch. All of my other leashes allow the leash to migrate about the waist belt freely. Still, this is a great leash for stronger dogs, I believe. You can see by the pull on the collar in the photo that my dog is pulling and the elastic is not giving too easily.
