TYC cooling fan assemblies are designed to be comparable to OE in performance, validated through air volume test that simulates cooling ability. Each unit is an assembly with motor, fan, and shroud to simplify replacement compared to working on individual components. To ensure durability, each cooling fan design are run through tests like : corrosion resistance, endurance, moisture, torsion and, vibration. Each unit goes through a quick power-on test before leaving the factory to ensure functionality.

Worked so well, the space to remove and replace the part is so narrow , the design of this replacement was so close it made getting the job done easier.

Same thickness as the original approx 2.75 inches. Works well. It’s pretty tight to replace on 2010 Q5, so the original thickness comes pretty handy.

OEM replacement with OEM fan motors. Some of the other non Audi brands claim to be OEM, but the fan motors are way too thick. Because of this it is impossible to replace the fan should assembly in car. This needs to fit between the engine and the frame rail to install. When purchasing look for motors that are the same thickness as the shroud. Excellent price as most OEM fans units start at 450 and up. My local dealer wanted 850 for a unit like this. This fit perfect.
