I ordered the 4.5 and 3.5 inch for a solo my 12 year old daughter is playing. I was pretty pleased with the mounting and the sound. However, the 3.5" model has now cracked right where the hole for the mount is. The crack goes all the way to the opening. This causes it to no longer make the loud ringing sound it is designed to make. I am returning these for a more durable model. (See: Jam Block)Although I am not happy with the product, Amazon continues to please with their outstanding customer service. When I called on the day my "return window" expired (I didn't know it was expiring) they apologized for my troubles and quickly emailed me a return label. Experiences like this make it easier to justify the Amazon Prime fee every year and continue to give Amazon my business.

I like the block but the mallet was broke in half. I requested a new mallet but I don't want to send the block back since it is too much trouble. If they don't send me a new mallet I will just have to fix the broken one with a dowel.
