These hold a striker-fired pistol with 15 round magazine to my desk. These things are crazy stong and very well built. Glad I grabbed them! This could be super useful in a safe too, to hold pistols to the ceiling and use some typically wasted space.

This is indeed the most secure magnetic-mount I have ever used for securing Firearms throughout my home - however the security of the mount comes at some flexibility cost. This mount is best suited for use under desks and other places where you will always be seated/positioned in the same location relative to the mount (you need to be positioned behind the mount, with gun pointing away from you, to be able to free the firearm from the barrel rod quickly/reliably).The barrel rod does does make the mount very secure. But, at times, it caused me to have to fumble around to try and free the gun from the barrel rod when practicing drawing the firearm from different positions when I was using the mount under my coffee & dinner tables. I switched to using this mount only for my desks, where it works perfectly.Now, in most cases, I don't think this delay in drawing will causes much of an issue, as even if it does slow your draw - you'll almost always be using a surreptitious draw when you're using a hidden mount - so you should in theory have enough time to free it while hiding your draw... but, if you had to rapidly draw it from 9ne ofbl these mounts, and you weren't positioned to be able to pull the gun straight back-and-away off the barrel rod, you'll struggle for a moment to free it from the mount.
