Works for awhile then starts going to crap! Internals are crap and start knocking then the clutch locks up!

I had to return the unit because it uses PAG-46 oil. My existing AC system was based on the Sanden compressor that used PAG-100 oil. Warning to all... you should not mix the two different viscosity oils.... the compressor will fail on you in due time. I did not want to flush out or replace my other components - so i opted to return this UAC compressor for one that was designed/engineered to use PAG-100.

The compressor mounted very easily into my 2001 Jeep Cherokee and works so far with no problems. I suppose I should write a review in about a year.

I bought this compressor when I redid my AC system on my Jeep Cherokee Sport (XJ). It swapped in nicely and fit perfectly. I replaced the compressor, condensor, accumulator and orifice tube/line. I have had this compressor installed on my jeep for about a month now and the AC blows Cold! Have not had one issue thus far. I also live in Arizona so I was curious to see how this unit performed. I am extremely pleased with its performance expecially considering the price. Highly recommend to others.
