I have had issues with my wifi in our house for some time now. I spoke to our IT crowd at work and they told me to go with Ubiquity. It seemed pricey but they were insistent it was the way to go.MAN I wish I did this earlier. The products are so well made, they’re clean and very easy to setup. The Dreammachine Pro is all set up within minutes from your phone via Bluetooth. The analytics are great from the machine and the wireless AP’s are fantastic. Everything can be managed from either your phone or the super smooth web gui. You can even turn the annoying LED’s off on the AP’s via the same gui. The WAN connection to your isp is done within 30 seconds and the wifi is back up in a similar timeframe. The only Con I consider is the price. They are expensive but they are worth it.

I never knew it was so precise, easy to use, deep to learn, and totally modifiable. Took the plunge to Unifi Router, Switch, POE Cameras, and MESH AP with a AP U6-LR.Talk about control!!!. If you like meddling, learning, analyzing, trying, modifying, this Setup is definitely for you. And if you're the only want it to work also, it is also for you.

Migrated from an EdgeRouter to this UDM Pro. Despite running the Unifi OS within a Docker container to run APs, there was still a bit of a learning curve migrating to this system (from the ER). The primary area was surrounding VLANs as I found the system less intuitive. All in all, a great product and am now able to enjoy full speeds from my ISP provider (ie. >1G). Have it paired with a 10G Netgear switch, a 1G Netgear switch and several Unifi APs. Love the results.

If you already have Ubiquiti equipment, you know what you are dealing with. This is a great option for the central player of your network. But still there are a number of limitations that I personally do not understand and do not like. You do not have direct access to the HDD, for example, to make backups from it, you cannot configure backup settings for external services. The most important thing is the lack of POE power at the output, therefore you will need to buy a POE power supply or a router with this function. It is not as flexible in settings as Mikrotik products, but on the other hand, it is very user friendly. Setting up everything is very simple and will not create problems. And of course, if you want to use other Ubiquiti products, UAP-Pro is ready for that. All in one.*UPD 17.08.22*After almost a year, I have something to add. In short, I finally decided not to invest in the products of this company anymore. After 6 months, I started having problems with the adoption of the device, I solved them for a long time and painfully, as a result, I had to reset all the settings and do everything again. SFP+ is unstable and sometimes you need to restart the system. One of the ports began to work only in 100Mb mode and I do not know what to do with it. Wi-Fi works fine, but in the future I will continue to build a network only on MikroTik products, they are much more flexible in configuration and much more stable in operation.

Il prodotto va oltre ogni più rosea aspettativa. È estremamente professionale, versatile, ricco di funzionalità, semplice da gestire! Mi occupo di prodotti di networking da anni e per mia colpa mi è sfuggito questo meraviglioso device. Difficile per non dire impossibile tornare indietro o preferire altro. Associato a tutta la linea di prodotti UniFI/Ubiquity diventa uno dei più potenti mezzi messi a disposizione di un Network Manager!

I've worked from home for a couple of decades, and the network over time became a mess. As I need to test (even stress test) applications and devices under various situations, I was managing two sometimes three networks while trying to keep the rest of the household happy. I've gone full Ubiquiti starting with the UDM Pro, redid all cabling, and now I can set up and tear down network configurations at will based upon my testing scenario needs. The entire network is faster, much easier to manage, and greatly simplified.The only complaint I have is the lack of PoE ports on the UDM Pro, but I simply used another switch for that.

Configurado en 1,5 minutos, es cierto que llevo tiempo con Unifi, pero es muy sencillo. Conectado con Movistar en modo neutro y va que da gusto. El firewall a tope no da problemas de cuello de botella, conectado con el 10G SFP+ y no falla.

Pretty good device for the SMB market. Not sure it really has enough bus bandwidth to handle a lot of video, and I question purchasing this now that Ubiquiti is getting out of the security camera business. I’d I had it to do over I would likely just get a Juniper core router and switch separately. Software defined networking for the office doesn’t seem to be ready for production, yet. Oh, and of the STP+ ports, only one can be used for internal switching. The other is hard configured for the WAN.
