I purchased these to place framed oil paintings, prints, and family photos in for our move into another home. Very sturdy and protective.

I moved across the country and packed mirrors and a TV in these boxes! Very sturdy boxes. Now to be fair, I did use a lot of packing tape to hold them together, but I saw the moving truck and they had packed those boxes in tight, but nothing got broken.

I like the idea of being able to adjust the width or length. I like the sturdiness of the cardboard. I do not like the box is open a little bit on each side, I guess depending on the size of the picture/mirror you are placing in the box. I know...it only has TWO pieces for each one..but gee, I hate to admit how long it took me to figure it out and then not sure if I had done it right until I confirmed with an online video. I know..I am assembly challenged but I am not THAT stupid..well, gee, maybe I am *grin*.

I bought these boxes to ship paintings in but after many tries I simply threw them away. They are adjustable in size but as you expand them to be larger it becomes clear that there are holes left uncovered. Poor design and basically ridiculous. Trying to make these work was infuriating. I don’t believe I’ve ever reviewed a product here and felt this negatively about it.

These boxes are extremely cool. You can use 1 set to enclose a smaller mirror/picture, or 2 to get an EXACT, snug fit on a larger one. The mirror I just wrapped is an odd shaped, vintage, expensive mirror with details I didn’t want chipped or broken. I LOVED that I could use 2 sets to get the PERFECT sized box that I otherwise could not buy. The mirror is not loose in there whatsoever. My mirror is really, really heavy, and the extra thickness of the cardboard is very helpful. The whole package feels really thick and sturdy. It’s awesome. I have some peace of mind with my upcoming move.I don’t think some of the other reviewers understood the value of being able to customize the sizes by using an extra set, or that it was intended this way. So I thought I’d leave a review to help out other people looking at these. They’re great!

Although two boxes do fit easily together, if your item is bigger than the boxes, you end up with space at the top that top and bottom that is completely open. We ended up using 4 boxes for one item (with lots of tape) just so we could have all of the sides covered and closed. Once we did that, it seemed to work, but it was pretty awkward and not as described. Our item was 27"x37" and it definitely did not fit without making those adjustments and doubling up.For smaller pictures or mirrors, I think they would be great.
