値段は他の着火剤より高めで購入を渋っていましたが、手元に届いたら質感もよくケースも何かに使えそうでよかった。焚火の着火には問題なく使えますが、炭には何本か使用しないと無理でしょうね。

Very long, not what I expected, over priced for what you get and YOU CAN'T A REFUND OR A RETURN. Buyer beware. Once you order it then it's yours forever.

I have been using these “matches” with a fire pit that injects air. That said, they’ve been the easiest fires I’ve ever started. I literally threw some wood in there with a couple pieces of fat wood, threw the “match” on top of it and it caught without any extra work. If you needed extra time to get kindling lit these would certainly get it for you, but they appear to burn hot enough that you likely won’t need it.

I originally bought these because I use the smaller ones and these came with a tin and I'm a sucker for a tin. I didn't realize how much bigger than the smaller ones these are. They work identically to the smaller ones, you light it on a match striker and it flares and you use it.That said, I use the smaller ones for lighting my burn barrel. You light it, protect the flame for a few seconds and then start lighting the trash. After you have a few light spots, you just drop the starter into the barrel and go on. Works 1000 times better than a match or a lighter. These work the same way. They don't perform any better lighting the burn barrel than the smaller ones so there's really no reason to spend the extra money on them. I also tried to use them to light a fire in my wood stove and they didn't last long enough to catch the wood and if I had to use them to light a bigger fire starter, that kind of defeats the purpose too.In short, they work great but maybe make sure you need the bigger ones before you buy them. (Unless you're just buying for the tin)

Excellent product . I watched videos on YouTube reviewing this product and as it turns out this works exactly as intended . I am very satisfied with this purchase . It just doesn’t seem often that you get a great product at a great price that actually does what it says it will . I love UCO

These things are crazy. If you can't get a fire going with one of these, there is no luck for you.

They're really BIGGER than you'd want for carrying in a pocket or something. In a backpack or similar, if you tried to carry more than perhaps 4 it would....look like overkill. I'm sure they're great to start a fire, but I'm also sure they'd be great still if they were HALF the size.

These things are in my opinion ridiculous as they are essentially miniature road flares. However, at the same time, I can't deny the fact that if you desperately needed to get a fire going in wet conditions, these will fill the bill for you! I purchased them just out of curiosity. Keep in mind though that only the coated part of the match stays lit in poor weather. Once it burns down to the tinder part of the match, it can be blown out by wind, or put out by water. It's not a guaranteed fire. It most certainly increases your chances though! I'll keep them in my truck for those moments when someone asks me for light :)
