Type of Electronic Lock:
- Fail-secure lock (locked when power removed), such as electronic controlling lock, smart lock, etc.
- Fail-safe lock (unlocked when power removed), such as eletromagnetic lock, electronic bolt lock, etc.
Principle of Electronic Lock:
- The relay will close contact to unlock the lock and will release after unlocking
- COM: Common, relay contact
- NC: Normal close, normally keep closed to COM
- NO: Normal open, normally keep opened to COM
Special Power Supply Diagram:
- Remove the back cover from the keypad
- Drill 4 holes on the wall for the self-tapping screws and 1 hole for the cable
- Put the supplied rubber plugs into the 4 holes
- Fix the back cover firmly on the wall with 4 self-tapping screws
- Thread the cable through the cable hole
- Attach the keypad to the back cover

Although the instructions for programming are not great, these panels are better than the other access control keypads I have been using. The touch of the buttons is crisp, and they feel fairly durable. They are NOT waterproof on the back side, so either caulking or weather shielding might be important for an outdoor installation.They have a number of features that allows for quite a few general use settings, but they do not allow different control settings for each individual user. Example: if you would like to restrict access for some people by RFID device + password, it will be necessary to have all users limited in the same way. The programming does allow a master passcode for entry, but not any RFID devices.Although it has not been a problem yet on my new installation, the field strength of the control keypad is not very strong. You need to be quite close for your card or RFID tag to be read.The two RFID cards that came with the reader do not seem to be numbered in any way, so removing those card individually from the device list will be impossible, despite the fact that the programming allows it.Entering the new programming is a bit fussy: take the time to learn all the keystrokes in advance of doing any keypad changes, and allow the device to respond at the right moments to the incoming data. If you just punch in your ordered list of button pushes, you are likely to fail.

This is a cheap, inexpensive system but works surprisingly simple and well. It is NOT software based or able to be controlled by a web browser.
