Simply connect the charging station and adapter, then plug it into the car’s charging socket—the automatic lock activates, securing everything together for a hassle-free experience. The adapter cannot be removed during charging, ensuring safety. To unlock, stop charging, press the top, and pull it out. The adapter is well-designed, sturdy, and durable. Highly recommended!

If you drive a Rivian or Ford—or any other CCS1-based EV—you’ve probably felt the sting of seeing row after row of idle Tesla Superchargers and not being able to use a single one. This adapter is a very solid answer to that problem. I bought it knowing I wouldn’t use it daily, but I’m glad I have it for road trips, range anxiety, or the occasional charger failure. It works well, feels robust, and adds legitimate peace of mind to the glovebox—or in my case, frunk, as my Rivian inexplicably doesn't have a glove box. (But hey, I still love her!)My Rubric✅ Good = Qualifies as a selling point➖ So-So = Not great, but also nothing resembling a showstopper❌ Not Good = Could be a showstopperMy star ratings, which tend to skew upward due to limitations in the 5-star system, are further elaborated in a decimalized scoring at the end of the review. Finally, although some items have been freely offered via the Vine system, I refuse to sell out and will never allow a vendor to influence my scoring through any means other than the quality of the product, both on its own and in relation to the current pricing at the time of my review. I value the efforts of other honest reviewers and wish nothing more than to pay their efforts forward in hopes of faithfully guiding others to informed decisions. The Good✅ Works with Tesla Superchargers – Genuinely expands your charging network access for compatible CCS1 EVs✅ Solid build quality – This thing is heavy-duty, weatherproof (IP65), and includes a nice carrying case✅ Automatic locking mechanism – Prevents mid-charge disconnects and works reliably (just follow the instructions)✅ Fast and safe – Rated for up to 1000V/500A with triple-temp-sensor protection to prevent overheating or damage✅ Compatible with most recent EVs – Works with Ford, Rivian, Lucid, GM, Volvo, Polestar, and others if they support DC fast chargingThe So-So➖ Not universal – Doesn’t work with every CCS1 vehicle, and not all Tesla Superchargers are CCS-capable, so a bit of research is required➖ Locking mechanism is stiff at first – It works, but don’t expect to yank it off like a garden hose➖ Won’t solve Tesla pricing – If you’re expecting this to be a budget-friendly fast charge option, brace for sticker shock at the SuperchargerThe Not-Good❌ Price is high – You pay a premium for the peace of mind and advanced features, which might be overkill if you’re rarely far from home or use only brand-specific chargersThe DetailsThe standout features here are the build and the tech packed into a small but mighty adapter. This isn’t a lightweight dongle. It’s a solid chunk of hardware with a reinforced release button, anti-slip texture, and a smart locking mechanism that clicks in firmly and doesn’t let go until you’re done charging. I’ve tested it in damp conditions and had no trouble getting a clean, stable connection. The carrying case is compact and well-padded, perfect for keeping in your frunk or center console.Charging performance was smooth and fast during my tests. The triple temperature sensors seemed to do their job quietly in the background—no overheating, no throttling. It does exactly what it claims: it lets your CCS1 EV charge at full speed on Tesla’s NACS hardware (provided the station is compatible). The experience was very much “plug and forget,” which is exactly what I want during a road trip. Now, the elephant in the lot: Tesla Supercharger pricing. It’s not cheap. So while this adapter expands your options, it’s probably not the charger you’ll use every week—unless convenience outweighs cost in your book. Still, having the ability to jump on the Tesla network in a pinch is a powerful safety net, and this device delivers it with a lot more polish and reliability than some of the cheaper alternatives floating around.Final Rating: 5/5(Pricey, yes—but well worth it for the build quality, safety features, and confidence it provides in charging flexibility.)

My husband owns a car lot / mechanic shop and we are getting a lot of newer electric vehicles in. We do have a couple electric vehicle Chargers but not all the vehicles we get in are compatible with it and it just so happens that I came across this particular adapter that would work perfectly for one of our vehicles so of course I had to snatch it up. It came well packed and secured with no damage. Everything was exactly as described in the ad even down to the measurements so it fit perfectly where we plan for it to be. We were sure to review all the makes and models that this is compatible with before we got it and I would definitely recommend doing the same. As long as you do that it fits like a glove and it charges the vehicle up very quickly and efficiently. It seems like the charge lasts just as long as our name brand charging adapter that we have for the other EV charger as well. Very impressed with the quality and the craftsmanship. You can tell it's very heavy duty very durable and very well made just by how heavy it is and the weight it has to it. I'm sure this will easily last for years to come and it's definitely worth the money in quality alone. It checks all the boxes I needed it to and goes above and beyond what I even expected. Super pleased and definitely think it's a solid 10 out of 10 great bang for your buck

The adapter allows me to use Tesla Superchargers with my CCS1 EV, which includes brands like Ford, Rivian, GM, Volvo, Polestar, and Lucid. The adapter has an automatic locking system that secures the connection during charging, preventing any accidental disconnections. The adapter handles up to 500A and 1000V, which means it supports ultra-fast charging. It reduces the time I need to wait for my EV to charge so I can stay on the road longer. The adapter monitors the temperature in real-time and adjusts the power to prevent overheating. The build of the adapter feels robust. I read it comes with IP65-rated waterproof and dustproof protection. The adapter also includes a carrying bag.I found the adapter easy to use. I connect the charger to the adapter, then insert both into my vehicle’s charging port. The automatic locking mechanism keeps everything in place during charging. To unlock, I press the button on the adapter once charging is complete. But the adapter is not compatible with all EVs, especially older models or those without DC fast charging. I double checked compatibility with my vehicle. Also, not all Tesla Superchargers work with CCS1 EVs, so I have to check the TSL app or interactive map to find compatible stations.
