Great light-weight tripod. The only down side is that the release for the camera slide-in mount is a little sticky.

So far it's been great. Very light, easy to use and will be great for traveling. Some reviews question how long it will last and I guess it's not how long you have it but how many times you use it and how it's been treated. I will know if a few months. But for the price and what it does so far, I am happy with it.

The weight limit is not 10 kilograms (22lbs), it is about 3.6 kilograms (8lbs). Very low weight limit, very weak legs. The plate has no tension lock, very unsecured. Perfect for a travel camera and a mic, but not much more than that. Seller should update the item description to reflect the true weight capacity. Anything more than 8lbs and the legs slowly retract down. The twist locks sound very unpleasant and sound like they are breaking when tightening and loosening.

The BEST tripod I've ever used. The tripod is tiny, light, and has a quick release system, allowing the user to easily attach and detach the camera. It also comes with a small phone holder that can be attached to the quick release system. it has fluid head for video work which allows for smoother panning and tilting, in addition you can use the fluid head for photography or you can remove it and use any ball head. Also it has many features including the adjustable tension knob, the roll control, and the detachable center column. Finally, This tripod is the best value for the money.

If you have heavy gear, don't purchase it, it's good for travel purpose, very light weight, but strong body. The video head also working fine.

Absolutely love this tripod for travel. It's extremely lightweight, and telescopes down to a super small and manageable size. At it's full length, it gets plenty high. The fluid head is also fantastic, while still maintaining a small size.Oh and the F38 quick release design is a game changer. Legit. This tripod brought me on board to the F38 craze, and now all of my other equipment has F38 plates attached to them. Yes, it gets expensive, but the ease of use is extremely worth it.I purchased this tripod last year, and unfortunately one of the legs broke. However, ULANZI customer service was able to get me a replacement via their email contact. Love that they stand behind their products!

Light but sturdy enough for a Canon R5C with 24-70 RF lens no problem.

Brand new out of the box, the head wobbles and squeaks which is not good for video panning. Too and because it's light and seems well built otherwise. Days past and Customer Service Wont respond. My Manfrotto never had this issue. I will be returning it.

Background:I've been using a carbon fiber tripod from Gitzo (from their Mountaineer series) for roughly 15 years, and it has never failed me. I've used it with a fluid head, and also with a ball head over the years. I currently have a fluid head on it.My needs have changed -- I no longer do professional photography, and I mainly want to shoot video with my iPhone and sometimes take pictures with my old DSLR. That is what brought me to this Ulanzi F38.I initially found the legs noisy to setup compared to the Gitzo, which can be problematic when you want to setup or adjust the leg height in certain situations. I also questioned the life I would get out of the legs, as the twist lock mechanism seems less likely to hold up over time. But I gave this tripod ago but ultimately gave up on it because the Ulanzi phone mounts are all arca swiss while this tripod has a fluid head with their F38I really like the F38 quick release. It is a joy to operate, and I wish Ulanzi had embraced it more completely. However, I purchased a couple of phone mounts from Ulanzi, one with a MagSafe mount for the iPhone and another with a clamp design. They are both great mounts, but they both have an arca swiss compatible base rather than an F38 quick release base. I tried using the F38 quick release plate on the bottom of these phone mounts, but this was not the experience I was looking for.Ultimately, I decided it is better to return this tripod and get an arca swiss compatible fluid head and use it with the Gitzo legs and the Ulanzi phone mounts.
