Usually, when I'm home with my tools, I just use an allen wrench for the garbage disposal. While visiting my father, I needed one and just ordered this. Works perfectly

I tried to unclogging my garbage disposal using an appropriately-sized allen wrench/hex key, but it wouldn't catch. Shelled out for this tool and it cleared the jam in a couple quick minutes.

Essentially just an Allen wrench, but you pay for the special shape - which does make it easier to work on a disposal.

Now if they could just do something about those years of gunk that come falling down in your face when you are flat on your back under the sink, tugging with the wrench to un-jam the disposal. 😎 But hey, the wrench did its job - just fine, in fact.

The wrench is too thin or flimsy and is not compatible with the Insinkerator Evolution Essential garbage disposal. I can tell with naked eyes that it is smaller than the standard 1/4" hex wrench, and is too loose for the hex socket hole at the bottom of the disposal and cannot facilitate the turning. After finding this wrench does not work, I bought another standard 1/4" hex wrench from Amazon.ca and fixed the garbage disposal in less than a minute.

My garbage disposal has been broken since February and I just got around to booking an appointment with Choice Home Warranty. One of my friends suggested that I buy this gadget and try to fix it myself. It worked great and saved me the $85 service call. My brother worked it around the whole in the bottom of the disposal and had it running in no time. Thank you Amazon!

I ordered this tool for my brother whose garbage disposal had been jammed up for an extended period of time. It was nice to be able to do something nice for him while vacationing at his beach front condo. It was also easy to show him how to use this tool, and it was very sturdy so I know he will have it for the next time his garbage disposal jams.
