Works great

So overall it looks great, but the bearings have this weird detent behavior. They don't roll free, and they take a good amount of force to turn even by hand. I can't see the friction of the rope causing these to turn except for some seriously heavy loads. That said, the pulleys are well made and will allow the rope to slide easily, so it's not completely useless.

I have been looking for this sort of thing for several projects but until I modify it, this one won't be very reliable. I think that the concept is good and has real potential however look around and spend more money on a better version. First, the pulleys don't seem to have bearing and if they do, they are not true ones. They pulley on the left turns but not very smoothly and you can hear it rubbing. The pulley on the right doesn't hardly turn at all unless I apply a lot of force on it with my hand; during use the rope will probably just slide right over it without it turning at all. Beyond that, the pulleys themselves are made cheaper and thin plastic and will probably break with to much weight applied. Secondly, there is no way to mount this other than the two holes that you are supposed to use the clips with that are themselves attached to a rope. This system may create issues depending on where you place it and how you use it. Finally, the rope and clips provided seem very underwhelming and if you start lifting heavier loads, I would be very cautious. It claims that it can handle up to 1000 lbs. but I don't think that in this configuration I would try anywhere near that much weight. I am going to try and rebuild this with heavier pulleys and ropes but for those of you looking, I would suggest that you keep looking for a better made version.

Over the years I have needed something like this on multiple occasions but tbh, I never knew they existed. There are so many different applications for this 90 degree pulley. Recently I used it to secure a load on my utility trailer using 1" ratchet straps instead of rope. I was trying to avoid the straps biting into something on the load and it worked perfectly. I have also used it to hang and skin a deer during hunting season. Just so many uses, use your imagination.
