I've had numerous sound bars and this is the best one yet. The speakers are small but they sound VERY nice. The surround speakers are a really nice addition. Bass from the woofer is decent especially when the volume is up. The remote control is nice with all the adjustments it has and the app is really nice. You can control the EQ on your phone with 10 separate controls. It's really a good system for your TV . I recommend this sound bar, and the price was right!

I just got the Ultima sound bar in on my birthday was for Sunday, 27 April, and like wow after I hooked it up, fantastic sound, it’s a lot better than I expected, and some of these reviews, talking about the sound quality man. Now it’s good to say that completely wrong, it’s super fantastic, it feels your room full of Bass and super good sound. I cannot tell you anything good enough about this sound system, the only bad thing you need to watch out for and be careful of, is they don’t send it with any batteries for the remote, but other than that, this is a fantastic sound system, I would recommend this sound bar if you want theater surround sound with a lot of space, it’s totally awesome last night, and set up was easy, good job, Ultima, and thank you for sending me such a great sound system even though I bought it, you know you still send me a great sound system, thank you, thank you thank you

Make no mistake, this is a premium sound system! I was a bit surprised by the smaller size of the surround sound speakers but if you crank up the volume they really pack a punch! I think technology keeps getting better and the result is powerful sound in a smaller package. This truly is an immersive surround sound experience. We have never owned an aftermarket sound system for our TV, instead relying on just the standard TV speakers. We didn't really want to spend the money, instead prioritizing our income for other things. Now I'm really glad to have this premium sound because it definitely makes a difference in your TV viewing. The instructions give you multiple ways to connect this sound system to your TV. The first, and best way is by using the provided HDMI cable so you can connect to the TV via eARC or ARC. However, your TV must have a port that supports this connection. I have a relatively new smart LG TV that I thought would have such a port but it doesn't so I was disappointed I could not go this route. Another connection option is using the provided optical cable if your TV has a Digital Audio Out port. Again my TV did not have such a port. Therefore, I connected my system using the Auxiliary Mode. This entailed connecting the red and white 3.5MM RCA cables from my set top box to the soundbar and this worked great. Please also note that the two surround sound speakers must be connected to the subwoofer via the provided 20 foot RCA 3.5mm red and white audio cables, and that the power for these three speakers is activated by plugging in the provided power cord from the subwoofer to an electrical outlet. The soundbar has it's own separate power cord that also must be plugged into an electrical outlet. Even though the soundbar is not physically connected to the subwoofer and surround sound speakers, the subwoofer has been paired with the soundbar via bluetooth at the factory by Ultimea. It's possible you may need to re-pair the soundbar and subwoofer if you pair other devices besides your TV to the soundbar. If so the directions state how to do that. The directions also give you the preferred placement options for all the speakers, with the best option being to have the small surround sound speakers placed behind where you sit and watch the TV. This was not an option for us because our family room has a tile floor (with no carpet) and there was no way to run the 20 foot cables from the subwoofer to the surround sound speakers without it really looking stupid. So we used the "Front Surround" placement of the speakers as suggested by the directions and we're quite happy with that.If you're able to connect the sound to the TV via the HDMI eARC or ARC method then evidently you can control your TV and sound using just your existing TV remote. Since we had to use the Auxiliary Mode we have to use the Ultimea remote for sound and our regular remote for the TV...2 remotes. However, that turned out to be a blessing in disguise because we discovered that we don't want all the TV sound to be the premium surround sound all the time. For example, if you're just watching the evening news you don't need super fancy sound, so we keep the surround sound off for shows that don't require super good sound and simply use the existing sound that comes from the soundbar only when we turn on the TV.The overall set up was really quite easy and the directions are written pretty well.I do have a few problems to mention. For some reason the mute button doesn't work on the Ultimea remote to momentarily mute the sound. I have no idea why it doesn't work. Also I'm unable to adjust the surround sound and bass on the remote. I believe that is because I could not use the HDMI cable. At any rate the sound is fabulous and I'm still giving it five stars.

I just got a brand new expensive TV and no matter what, the speakers always suck. If you spend that much money on a tv you should have a nice soundbar or hooked up to a stereo. I've got hearing aids so the voices need to be really clear for me to hear the dialog, and these nail it. Now, keep in mind these are not $700 speakers ( I sold speakers back in the day for a high end stereo store ) but they are much better than I was expecting. I hooked it all up via HDMI ARC in about 3 minutes. I put all of the speakers under the TV to test the system first, and the sub behind the TV as that was the closest plug.Wow, turn it on and the difference is pretty clear. The surround speakers hook into the wireless sub - I was wondering how that was going to work... So now I'll move the sub to the side of the couch and put the surround speakers behind me. In this case, I don't mind the wires. Old days you had to run speaker wires and that was a pain. The speakers fit right under the TV perfectly. The remote is nice, but once set up, I haven't used it in weeks. Twice the speaker did not come on and I just unplugged the HDMI cable and back in and it kicks right back on. Not sure what's going on there and for all the times I've used it, it's not a hassle yet.Overall, the bass is good, the sound is much much better than stock tv speakers and the surround speakers via the bass unit it pretty smart. For under $200 you simply can't go wrong. I've you've never had a soundbar, get this and you'll be happy with the upgrade. If you're a total audio nut, skip it and hook it into your existing system.
