I like this ultrasonic machine overall.I hate using denture tabs on my retainers because of the waste involved, so I got this machine as an alternative. So far, this machine seems to be keeping the retainers clean. Sometimes I can even see bits of junk in the water when they are done being cleaned! I like the timer on the machine. I like the fill line on it. I like that I can sometimes see visible evidence that it's cleaning. I like that it doesn't have the waste of the old denture tablets. That said, I did try cleaning a piece of my costume jewelry in this machine, and one of the fake gemstones on my ring came loose, so I do not use it for jewelry anymore, especially not my better jewelry. As always, your mileage may vary because maybe my gemstone was coming loose anyway. I'm just not going to risk my jewelry again.

Love this little machine. Very quiet and compact. Has a digital timer indicator. Very easy to use, add water, press the button and walk away. I have some rings with stones that get a little cloudy bc a cleaning cloth can't reach behind them. This unit gets my diamonds sparkly like they were cleaned at the jewelers. While I use mine for jewelry the size is perfect for dental appliances. I use mine once every week or two and it's holding up perfectly.

This ultrasonic cleaner works as advertised. I was able to clean my retainers with just water, without any scrubbing. I noticed that the cord fits very tightly to the unit, which makes it hard to unplug after use. I also found that the round shape makes this unit less stable, especially when dealing with water and electricity. I feel like I have to be extra careful using this product to prevent it from tipping. I wish the timer could go a bit longer than ten minutes, but it does get pretty hot after ten minutes, so I guess this time limit is a safety feature. I also wish the unit came with tongs for grabbing things from the dirty water after cleaning. The round shape also makes it difficult to grab and pour the water out. I think there are many other options out there, and this is not my favorite design.

it's not a miracle worker, but it helps a good bit. The problem with cleaning jewelry, especially your ring settings, earrings and necklaces, is getting a gentle clean on the sides and in the back of the setting. Gold is soft enough to bend with a toothbrush scrub and you don't want to ruin a setting. This little ultrasonic gizmo sends waves that loosen the hard to reach dirt on the side of your diamonds and behind them. That helps more light reach the diamond, even though we know most light enters the diamonds through the top. You just fill with a little tap water and off you go. Of the 5, 8 and 10 minute settings, I always choose the Goldilocks setting of 8.The cleaner hums and generates some heat and turns off automatically. It is so hard to picture jewelry, but the diamonds came out brighter. The silver did too, but still has some tarnish. The ultrasonic waves are not great tarnish removers. After you finish, pour out the water and dry thoroughly and put away. My wife wouldn't let me hold onto her earrings for long, but this machine really helped get weeks and weeks of shampoo and soap off them. They brightened up very nicely. You hopefully can see that a lot of dirt came off what I thought were clean settings. There is a side entrance on both sides I haven't seen before. Nice feature, but I don't know what I'd use it for. It's small, like an old eight ball shaker, but it doesn't need to be any bigger. The verdict? Useful, but not perfect.Oh, don't run it through several cycles without rest and don't run it empty. Also, watch your softer stones that may get damaged by the waves.

Never used one before, so can't compare. Directions fairly straight forward for this day and age. Didn't have any questions to start. (Who ever wrote them passed at least High School English.)MOUTHGUARD: Not certain how to compare this to my dentist's machine. I'm in the chair 45+min and it always comes back almost new. At home there was noticeable difference on removing the white caked (?toothpaste). 1/2 came off in the first 5 min cycle, and the rest in another. There still is a slight film on the guard. Don't know if the dentist adds any chemicals to the water bath. I haven't been washing it daily like I should so there is bound to be a buildup.SILVER Rings: AMAZING polishes up the silver and the opal/lapiz stones shine in 5 min with water.GOLD wedding band. I tried several times, including with some hand soap added and couldn't get the outer shine back. ...Thinking, decided to look at the inside of at gold ring and it was shinny as the day I got it. I guess the nebulizer doesn't do any buffing of all the micro scratches on the outer surface. Do they make a combo nebulizer/buffer? (Joke)Opportunity for improvement: The instructions mention a cleaning tablet but no specifics, on any recommendations. I will have to ask the jeweler cleaning consultant at Google.Recommendation: YES with the above qualifications. Given the price point it is a good deal.
