If you want to use this to avoid catching stressed trout or timing hatches, kinda worthless. Verified the temperature offset with certified test equipment in a water bath. For about $5 more, you can find an instant read, +/- 0.5˚ on this site. Which I did.Umpqua is a fine company and I do business with them. They should drop this item from their offering.

Difficult to read, scale goes to 120 degrees F. Who would need a stream thermometer to read so high?

This was a replacement for a stream thermometer that I had for over 25 years.This one was just as good as my old one, perhaps even better. I'll give a better workout when the streams get back to normal.

It’s Celsius (not a deal breaker as we all have iPhones), but it’s really small font and it feels / looks like it’s made of lead.
