Sturdy and well made. My cat has already tipped it off the ledge where he eats. I'm assuming because he didn't realize it was a food bowl until I put food in it.Ledger, yes, Ledger has a history of eating so fast that he can gag on large pieces, so far this has slowed him down. Whether it's because of the protrusions on the bowl or that it is still new to him, I'm hoping it's a mix of both. He does seem agreeable to using it though, which means I might have to get more for the other cats.

This is a really nice elevated bowl. One of the reasons I ordered this is that one of my cats is beyond "chonky," and needs to lose some weight. I hope that the ridges in the bowl that are there to slow feeding down will help her eat less. That remains to be seen, but the bowl is attractive and easy for the cats to use without whisker fatigue. It's a great feeding bowl, whether it helps her lose weight or not.
