I've been using UM as my go to budget brand since 2005ish, and every, and I do sincerely mean every, item I've gotten that has a zipper has had some sort of tragic zipper failure. This rifle bag is no different. I got to make full use of both zippers 3 times before one of them became stuck inside the end of the zipper track, and turned in such a way that it will not do zipper things anymore.I'm now down to one zipper and that almost got stuck in exactly the same manner on the other end of the bag. SO...Now I'm waiting for that one to get stuck so I can do what I've been having to do since 2005ish which is to have to cut the zipper free and then sew it back in in manner that isn't stupid. Also, it's not 43".Aside from that though, I do like it. I just wish I wasn't going to have to rebuild it before it ever leaves my house....Oh yeah, did I not mention that? It hasn't so much as left the house. The hardest abuse it's seen is the nap my cats took on it when I forgot to put it up one night.

This thing arrived early and was just over 60 dollars. This bag is good value for your dollar. It is compact and professional. I read an other review about the interior size so have a look for that one. It fit's my unit perfectly. Get a Pelican case if your hauling around a trophy.

Not a bad case, reasonably well made for price and you can fit a lock through the zippers to 'secure' it.

Fits my tactical rifle perfectly. As others have stated, Velcro on the magazine pockets is a bit flimsy and may not last too long. I suppose better Velcro would be a plus, but how it's attached is what needs attention. Outside pockets could be a bit deeper but do fit magazines okay. Large Velcro pocket is incorrectly listed as a "zippered accessory pocket" on the hang tag but it's not, just Velcro. Case can be locked with a small padlock on zipper pulls on the main case, but not really secure, as easy to cut case open. Would meet requirements for a locked case in transport in the trunk to the range. Not something I would depend on to protect against heavy hits but a great trunk and carry to the range tactical case.

My friend asked me to order this item for him. .it arrived in a few days and when he opened it he exclaimed " oh yes, nice! " I was surprised as he is so picky. He said that the five clip pockets are super sturdy and that this is the ultimate make in gun cases. amazon fulfilled this order and he said that the price was 40$ less than on some other site.

Great product, light weight but yet very sturdy. Enough cushion inside to protect the rifle and optics if you are using one. Nice carrying handle. Zipper is from a good material as well. 5 pouches fits all 5 magazines with no issues and still some extra space (MAGPUL) for AR-15. Shoulder strap is very nice and comfy as well and stitches looks it will hold fine.Over all great quality product and recommend it for anyone looking for a similar product but for a great price.I searched almost every site I could think of for this specific one, and found it the cheapest here on Amazon, so I recommend you get it from here and save yourself some money! Also be aware before you order that there are two different sizes, the LARGE one is the one with 5 pouches.Hope that helps future buyers .. Good luck!

It's long and wide enough for a rifle with some accessories unlike some of these bags tend to slant down too early which make it impossible to house rife with accessories (scope, handle, etc). Well built canvas type material with useful (purposeful) pouches outside. This is the cheapest bag compare to others that would fit my need size-wise (i know it doesn't seem to come out right), since I do have a scope, a hologram laser with riser rail, a handle grip/stand and 2 flash lights (on on each side rail). Needless to say it's bulky, hence the 4 star...wish it's a bit deeper (3" instead of 1.5?). I have my handle sticking out a little with zippers meeting in the middle; not ideal, but still allows me to carry all the stuff in a single bag, again, can't really complain for the price.

Bought this as a christmas gift for my brother-in-law, who is in law enforcement, for his AR-15. Not yet sure how well it fits at the moment, but will update once it's opened and fitted. On the actual product build, it is of durable material with nice, deep pockets and velcro closures for magazines, as well as a couple open pockets for misc items. The zipper has two pulls on it, so you could put a small lock to secure the closure. The interior of the bag is padded with a soft material that won't scratch the finish of your rifle. All of the stitching seems to be well-done and will last a lot of years of abuse in a trunk. Also, I have read some reviews talking about the carry strap that's sewn into this case and how they're not sure what it's purpose is. It isn't so much a carry strap as it is a sling to throw over your shoulder. Two adjustable buckles slide to tighten/loosen the strap to your comfort.

First off, everyone that's saying this isn't a case for a "long gun" is correct. It isn't. In my case I didn't want that. I bought this to hold a carbine with a collapsible stock, and for that purpose the case is plenty long. It could actually be a few inches shorter and be perfectly fine for my application. One reviewer mentioned that they folded it in half to ship it. I was very worried about this, but decided to give it a go anyway. Mine was not folded. The box that they shipped it in was long enough to hold the case without folding, which made me very happy. The case seems to be of good quality overall. Stiching seems good. Zippers work well. Padding is adequate (appropriate for the cost, there are cases with more padding and that are more rigid, but for a case in this price range this is what I would expect). The case is also plenty wide for my purposes. I'm currently running hard sights, but could add a small optics package with no problem. One reviewer mentioned a tight fit with his 50mm optics package. I can see that, but putting a 50mm optic on a carbine is probably not going to happen for me. I have no concerns of adding a small optics package and the weapon fitting in the case. The side of the case is equipped with mag holders that will easily fit 30 round mags. A 40 *might* fit, I haven't tried one yet, but the 30s are a non-issue. There's also a couple other pockets which are good for other small things. The front pocket velcro's shut and then there is a pocket with no opening "under" the hand straps. My one complaint about this case might be the length of the shoulder strap... It is quite short, even at its longest adjustment. If you plan on carrying it on you shoulder a lot it could be a problem. I don't think I am, so it isn't a big issue for me.
