I mounted the lights underneath the cabinets above the counters in my kitchen, and I run them on auto. The light and intensity of the light is great for the first 2 days, and then it just gets dimmer. I have to recharge the batteries of these lights every 3 days or so. I love the product...I'm not a big fan of the battery life.

I had bought a similar light that I used in a crawl space that I can light only from several feet away from the entrance. For many years I used a flashlight or put on an adjacent light in order to see my way to the switch, however it occurred to me several years ago that a magnetic base motion detecting light would do the trick! Unfortunately, while it still works, the detection range on my old one became almost non-existent and I purchased this pair. They both light up, the closer I get to the space and as I enter, giving me enough light to find something or put something away without even turning on the big fluorescents! They also have a magnetic base, and because part of my ductwork for heating and cooling goes straight across the entrance, they are both 'stuck' to these metal ducts and work as the other one never could. Both are brighter alone than the one they replaced, they are sturdier, allow for a number of ways to turn them on and can be charged using a USB C cable, which they come with, but which most folks have handy for their other devices as well. Good buy at the price point and very useful!

Very happy with the 2 lights - multiple settings to choose from, they turn on when someone is about 6 feet away and turn off after about 20 seconds of no motion. Using in the kitchen under cabinets. Very easy to attach. A bit expensive but no regrets.................edit - The day after I wrote this review, I noticed that the lights seem to have lost some brightness so recharged. After this, nothing was working properly......the 'auto' setting had the lights going off 3 seconds after coming on, or not responding at all when motion was near.Over that day the intermittent issues kept popping up but today it seems fine again. Going to give them a few more days and may return for an exchange as I really do like the lights if they're working properly! - Stay tuned.

I’ve had these lights for a couple weeks now and i like then so far. Followed instructions to charge fully (after checking that they both worked) and they havent let me down yet.I stuck one to the top of my bookshelf (a darker corner of the room) and it provides ample light for when im at the shelf or want extra ambient light. The motion detection is surprisingly sensitive. I have it turned off during the day and tend to only turn it on or have it on motion-detection mode when im in that room at night AND i have yet to recharge it! Ive keep the other one charged and ready to switch out. I wonder how much charge it’ll have by the time i do need to change out the current one.As for “installation”, super simple. The magnetic bars were easy to stick onto the shelf with the foam stickies. The entire light isnt very weighty so if youre afraid of damaging your surfaces when it comes time to remove adhesives i suggest using a 3mm adhesive. For me, i stuck it into the interior of my bookshelf so its fairly hidden and theres a lip so its almost flush with that too, and i dont care about damaging an old bookshelf. I cant speak on the quality of the adhesive in regards to removal but its sturdy, it wont fall off anytime soon. The magnet bars were also easy to center on the back of the light if you’re very precise about balance/positioning the light onto whatever surface- gently nudge both magnet bars until they do not want to budge and then position it onto the place you want it to sit. Mark where the metal/magnets bats sit and thats we’re youll adhere them, and itll always be center. It takes a while to figure what direction to flip the switch without looking but thats on me. I recommend these light, especially for the price and convenience.

I've been helping my Dad with accessories for his new Ford Maverick. After installing a bed cover, I wanted to add lights so he could see in there without removing the cover every time. I got a set of pigtails for the power ports back there, and started installing some 12v LED's and a motion sensor under the bed rails. It wasn't until I actually got it half installed that I realized the power ports are not constantly powered. Huge problem since you would almost never have the truck "on" with the keys in the ignition while rummaging around in the bed. So I started looking for LED lights with their own power that can be charged via USB. When I saw these, I was really interested because they not only had the built-in USB chargeable battery I wanted, but they also had a motion sensor and magnetic mounting. So I installed USB charging ports in the access panel for the power port, and connected these lights to them. So while the truck is "on", the lights are being powered and charged by the truck, but thanks to their batteries, they still work when the truck is off. The magnetic mounts are perfect for easy installation (they hold even with his spray-on bed liner), and in the unlikely event the batteries don't get charged enough with regular driving, the lights can easily be taken in the house and topped off. And if he needs lighting anywhere else, he can just grab one or both and use them anywhere. They're nice and bright, but the diffused lens keeps them from blinding you so they can be out in the open (the ones I started to install had to be under the bed rails to prevent them from blinding you since they weren't diffused). Super useful product in a lot of ways, and the perfect solution to several problems I ran into trying to add lighting to the bed area.
