The switch works fantastic however there is a tiny little resistor inside the electrical plug area you can see it and you have to use some micro miniature cutters to be able to cut and break it apart so that you don't have any resistance between the contacts after that you'll get full voltage and current through the switch and you can write anything you want up to 10 amps.

Easy-peezy. One of the easiest part swaps possible. Open the hood. Right there in front of you. Squeeze to release from bracket, swap in replacement part, push back in. 60 seconds.Solved intermittent remote start failures, whether or not a PRNDL error was shown or not. Had been happening for a while. Only when it got to the point of a 50% failure rate (remote start) did the PRNDL 'hood latch' error appear.

After replacing this sensor I only had a few failed remote starts. The next day until now, I have no issues starting up my car remotely.
