Your cart is empty.There's a real problem that affects almost all mechanical pencils—bear with us as we explain. As you use a regular mechanical pencil, the lead wears down on one side, forming a slanted wedge-shaped tip. Each time you put the lead to the page you end up using a different lead surface (pointy, flat, wide, thin) depending on how you hold the pencil. This can cause dramatic and unsightly variations in line thickness as you write or draw. The Kuru Toga eliminates this problem with the use of an ingenious lead rotation mechanism that continually rotates the pencil lead as you write. A spring-loaded clutch twists the lead incrementally every time you lift the pencil from the paper. This allows a uniform wearing of the lead to create a conical tip shape that provides a fine, consistent line. This Kuru Toga Advance features an updated "W Speed" mechanism, which rotates the lead twice as fast as standard Kuru Toga pencils so that the lead gets sharpened twice as quickly. Standard Kuru Toga pencils rotate the lead once every 40 strokes, while the Kuru Toga Advance rotates the lead once every 20 strokes. The Advance's mechanism also features metal parts for smoother, more reliable performance. The Advance also features a sliding lead sleeve (guide pipe) that protects the lead as you write. As you write and the lead gets shorter, the sleeve slides into the pencil, getting shorter along with the lead. This means that you can write continuously without clicking to extend more lead, all the way until the sleeve gets too short. The sleeve can be fully retracted when the pencil is not being used, protecting it from getting bent or poking a hole in your pocket or pencil case.

A surprising well crafted mechanical pencil. Writes very well. Easy to refill. Fits in your hand so well you want to write better (yeah, who writes nowadays). And I found this sense of appreciation worked not only for western characters, but Chinese as well. After a few days use it became my preferred pencil.It might be more expensive than some pencils, but like shoes it's the ones you never wear that are actually the most expensive.

I recommend all of the Uni-ball Kuru Toga line of Mechanical Pencil. Feed well and the lead rotates to keep it sharp and also helps with lead breakage. Not bad for simple plastic and metal pen. Due to the plastic material i only gave it 4 stars. But I own and use 5 of these, each with a different color lead so it is pretty good for the price.

Really cool pencil, a great idea to have the rotating head to evenly wear the lead evenly. It looks and feels great in my hand. I added a grip to help it fit my hand better and the grip stays on easily. Very happy with this product.

小4男児が塾用で使っています。折れづらいと評判のデルガードを使っていたのですが、すぐにボキボキ折れてしまって、子供をイライラさせていました。でもこれにかえてから折れづらくなり、快適に使えているようです。筆圧の強めのお子さんにおすすめです！

I love this pencil! I just got it today, it works amazingly I just wish it had a soft grip since I’m a hard pencil gripper lol. The design is beautiful and fits perfectly well in my hands. It’s extremely easy to use and the eraser works just fine though I prefer to use a separate eraser than the one on the pencil. I’d buy it again! It’s worth the price It’s very light weight as well, and the colors are so beautiful!

This review is after 3 months of using this pencil. I mostly use it for writing, especially taking notes—college-level notes, iykyk. I do have a heavy hand, so this has become one of my favorite pencils thus far.PROs- lead rotates, so you always get a consistent and dark lead.- never have the problem of a slanted lead & then your writing becoming lighter- best for heavy-handed writers, the lead will shrink back in, or I can describe it as you will feel like the lead "springing" back into the actual chamber to protect the lead from breaking; unless you're just experimenting & intentionally break the lead any way you desire- appreciate that this pencil is light weight (IMO)- appreciate that you can retract the lead, & the tip back into the chamber so it will not snag any cloth in your pencil pouch/bag- smudge-proof (even after going through it w/ a highlighter &/or running my finger through what I had just written)- The cap that holds the eraser at the end does not easily come off. You really have to pull the cap to access the eraser and pull the eraser to access the opening for lead insertion.CONs- There is not a lot of grip assistance, for example. Like a rubber holder However, for me, this is a minor issue b/c I have a death grip when writing. This can be a major con for others such as those who- a tiny eraser at the end, but is not a major flaw; I would recommend to get a separate eraser, (Japanese brand never fails & lasts long)

Ive been using this pen for the last 6 months and it was served me well. its durable and the self pushing lead feature works really well. I discovered the pen rotated better if you hold your pencil with an angle. overall the plastic used for the body is high quality along with the metal tip

My daughter has been in a instant sort of loophole for fancy desk accessories and supplies and we saw this popular pencil and decided to get it.Right of the bat, the sleek design was a bit of a surprise for me as I thought it was a pen at first glance.And the rotating technology is genius the writhing ability is pretty good as the seller does say that all the writing is even but I did see some issues with that like uneven writing and having to rotate the pencil itself to fix the issue.Overall the functional aspect of the product is amazing and the weight makes it seem as if it is a regular pencil.⚠️JUST ONE SLIGHT INCONVENIENCE TO PUT IT MIND IS THAT THE PACKAGING IS IN JAPANESE SO IF YOU WANT A LITTLE INFORMATION FROM THE PACKAGE YOU MIGHT NEED TO USE GOOGLE TRANSLATE LIKE ME AND MY DAUGHTER DID!
