I volunteer at my children's school and I use it every week for 2 grades' worth of homework packets, plus special announcements and fundraisers. I have had this stapler for over 6 months now, and it is working very well. It doesn't come with any staples, but it takes standard size staples (I use the inexpensive Target brand staples). The homework packets are usually 4 - 5 sheets thick, but I have used it for our fundraiser packets which consist of several glossy flyers and a fairly thick collection envelope. It hasn't jammed a single time yet, which is great. It is sturdy and heavy enough to stay put when I'm stapling. I staple approximately 170 homework packets every week (doubling that volume during special weeks like Christmas or Dr. Seuss' week etc), plus 1,400 fundraiser packets each school year. It does not have those quick split-second responses like some of the more expensive ones like Swingline, but it does staple fairly quickly when you place the paper in (about half a second or so response time perhaps). It may annoy some people, but it works just fine for me. You do, however, have to push the stack of paper straight in, as the sensor is at the back of the paper slot. That is to say, it won't staple your paper at an angle. I don't use it everyday, but so far, it has been a solid work horse and I really do recommend it. I hope this review helps.

Lasts about two months. This is my second one. Same thing happened with the first. Works great until it doesn't. I think the motor gives out. Rather expensive for a "disposable" :(

As someone with Fibromyalgia, I've been hating my traditional stapler at work which I have to use constantly. I have a lot of consumers that I have to mail materials to almost daily. Some days I can barely lift my cell phone to text let alone stamp down or squeeze a stapler. When I realized that electric staplers are an actual thing I made it my mission to find one that looked like it would fit on my desk, was affordable, and easy to figure out how to use. I've had this for several weeks now and I don't know what I'd do without it. It's saved my wrists and fingers and thumbs. In addition to the Fibro I have carpal tunnel in my hands, so this is big for me. It IS easy to use, you just have to line it up straight rather than inserting the corner of the pages into it. It's easy to load the staples. You have to make sure you purchase the right staples for it. Don't use standard staples.

It broke after the first day of using the stapler. It was easy to figure out how to use it, but I tried to staple 7 pages and it jammed. Then I tried to remove the jam and it broke. I could not find a manual about how to troubleshoot the stapler, so I have to return it. This is unfortunate, since I did like the stapler. If anyone knows of a manual to fix the stapler, please point me in the right direction.

I purchased this to replace an awesome stapler that stopped working after 10 years. This got decent reviews so I bought it for my office and, boy, do I regret it. It jams, it sticks, it grabs and hold on to my document. Then just as I'm ready to give up and toss it, it works perfectly....until the next time. It's money down the drain since I assumed it would work and tossed the packaging. Lesson learned.

I've had this for a few months now and I'm happy with it. It is a bit slow...meaning if you only have a couple of sheets of paper that need to be stapled, you have to find just the right spot for the 'trigger' to make it staple. The more sheets you have to staple, the easier and faster it is. What I use it for it's perfect. In other stapler reviews folks mention the loudness of a stapler. This one is not quiet, (it's not especially loud either) for my office that's not a problem.UPDATE: The stapler lasted a little over a year. I'm going to try a different one. I would like one that will staple my few sheets a bit faster. This one on occasion will jam, not a big deal, but the last jam was it. Can't unjam it.I have read review of the other best selling staplers and it appears that a year is a good base-line life for these electronic staplers. We'll see!

This does not perform well. It's very slow and often does not recognize the paper in it and won't staple. You have to repeatedly push the paper numerous times before getting it to work.

I was surprised when I unboxed this stapler and found the power adapter stamped with a major brand manufacturer's label. It is well made, considering it is a low cost item, and staples amazingly well. I have had no problem with 20 sheets of 20lb laser paper. What I really like compared to my previous impulse stapler, is it is fairly quiet. I don't need hearing protection to staple documents. But, it is slow, taking a second to staple. And, the sensor is a leaver switch that is hard to activate if you only want to staple 2-3 sheets of paper; the edge of the pages fold back against the pressure of the switch. But, I am willing to put up with the sluggish stapling speed and the difficulty stapling only a couple sheets to avoid hearing loss from the bang of an impulse stapler.I haven't had it long enough to comment on durability, but it appears to be sturdily made.
