Paint on the female threads was removed with a dremel. I dropped the cap in paint thinner over night and hit the stippling and threads with a small wire brush. Then drilled a vent hole on the side of the cap with a 5/32 bit I believe it was, I drilled a hole because the tank I had on there had a vent hole. For the price you can't beat it if you're able to fix it up.
