This is a product that has a lot of uses, but as a wheel hub/bearing puller I just don't get it. The (badly photoshopped) images in the listing show this puller attached with the axle nut, brake caliper and rotor still attached. You can't pull a wheel bearing that way... This will be helpful in pressing the axle back out of the way (after the axle nut is removed) so you can access the bolts to remove the wheel bearing, but it won't do anything to remove a stuck hub/bearing. Weird listing...

I recently had a wheel hub bearing fail on my truck, and I didn't have the money to get it towed to a shop for the repair. Instead I took on the project myself, and taking out the hub the caveman way with a hammer proved to be a huge pain. This tool made the job much easier, and I'm glad I'll have it in my tool box for the next time I need it. Due to the design I'm curious if I can use it for some other purposes, as it resembles a tool for pulling a harmonic balancer. Even if not, one can never have too many tools on hand, and I'll appreciate it when I find myself needing it unexpectedly the next time.

This is a nice kit; I like how heavy duty and solid they feel. I know some of the other reviewers were complaining of this failing on them, but I can't really see how that happens unless you are just trying to power your way through this with an impact wrench or something similar (breaker bar). If you really have a stuck on hub then it's probably best to think of using this with a combination of penetrating lube and gradual slow force. From what I can tell, when used properly, this should last me a lifetime. Happy to recommend.

This set is a must have if youve ever exhausted yourself trying to free up stuck rotors. Having the right tool for the job is priceless, saves so much time and energy. These are made super solid and seem like they'll last a long time. The shipping box was pretty beat up and the contents were rolling around with other ordered items. Something to keep in mind if ordering something fragile along side with this set, I would recommend splitting up the shipments. I have to dock a star for this because the box should at least be able to withstand shipping. Other than that, i highly recommend this product to anybody taking working on cars

I used this to push out a CV axle- worked great. Also as a bonus- it fits my Matco slide hammer as well!!

I have pulled wheel hubs using a hammer and pry bars for many years. This puller helps tremendously, providing the strong pull on the hub while I only tap with a hammer. You still need to use penetrating oil, especially in the rust belt (I am in Michigan), or removal will be much more painful; but, this puller does not slip (like prybars do) and provides the pulling force that make hub removal much easier.
