On my vehicle these were easy to change as I didn't have to drop the strut to install them. They installed on top, with the cap on top of that, and then the nut .This didn't end up resolving my clunking issue, but was a cheap addition to rule out the top of the strut causing the noise

Was installing a strut bar on my Nissan and saw these online and decided to give them a try. They fit well with no cutting or customizing. They added a nice finish to where the strut, bar, and engine internal wall meet. Best part, they actually have worked well to lessen some of the small creaks and bump noises that I usually hear when coming off a driveway lip or turning up into one at light/slow speeds. They have a slight shine to them, which looks good and they are extremely dense, hopefully the they will last a while. For the price every little bit dampening helps. 5 Stars

These shocks are hard rubber and should last for a while. There are other uses, so be creative. Check the dimensions carefully before ordering.
