This adjustable 4-point tie-down pad has 4 incorporated polyester straps for securing nearly any type of load. With each straps' 2000 lbs of break force, this pad can handle nearly anything you need to secure.

I ordered this red tie-down pad mostly to use when hauling kayaks. When hauling them in the back of the truck, we use 2-3 tie-down straps to in the front in addition to hanging red flags on the ends. This pad handles all of that. The pad and the straps with hooks are heavy duty. The kayaks are still in storage for a few more weeks so I haven't used them, but did a test hook-up in the truck and it fits well. There will be plenty of room the straps to accommodate our kayaks.The one con is that here are a few cracks that were worn in when we opened it. I think it is because it was folded with some of the tie-downs between layers of the pad and it caused the pad to wear in one of the folds. I am concerned that may eventually tear. It would be better if they packed the pad completely flat and and the tie-downs on top.

I have a 4-door Tacoma with a 5' bed. While it is amazingly compact for a truck, is easy to parallel park, and very comfortably fits in most parking spots/garages, it sometimes makes hauling larger things difficult. With this tie-down pad I am able to easily carry two kayaks in the back. It also work great for furniture that needs securing over the top. It is great because it is much less likely to rub/scratch objects than just a narrow, nylon strap. The bright red color works as a flag in states (like Washington) that require you to have one on oversized loads.

We've used the tailgate extender to haul wood and kayaks. Easy to install after the first install when you get the hang of how it's used. Love how adjustable it is because that makes it really versatile. The pad is very strong so you can be confident it will hold items in the truck bed. Because of the red color, no flags are needed and that's convenient because we don't carry red flags. Note it's important to center the load with the pad and center the pad in the truck bed so there is equal tension on both sides.

I just bought a new-to-me pickup truck, as I am in the process of working on my house, and was getting really tired of trying to haul lumber in my old Jeep, as well as other weighty and bulky items needed for various indoor and outdoor projects at home. Since my pickup has a short bed, I wanted to make sure that when hauling larger items like lumber, I had something on hand to both secure the load in my truck as well as flag it. This tie-down pad functions as both! It has heavy duty buckles, hooks and straps, and comes with an extra strap to secure the front of your load. It's a nice bright red--just like my truck--so will always be noticeable to other travelers on the road. This tie-down pad folds up into a relatively small package, so it can always travel with me in the truck and be instantly available when needed! Win/win!
