Product Description

Uniweld 40000 Sludge Sucker The Sludge Sucker is a tool that was developed to clean out a condensate drain line without having to access the drain pan located in the A/C System's Air Handler. The Sludge Sucker's clear vinyl hose is attached to the 3/4-Inch PVC condensate drain line on the outside of the building. With the use of Nitrogen, CO2 or water suction is created that pulls all the sludge and algae from the drain pan and drain line; then blows it onto the ground outside. Three Easy Steps: 1.) Locate condensate drain line. 2.) Attach Sludge Sucker vinyl hose to condensate drain line which fits inside a 3/4-Inch PVC fitting. Use PVC fittings, if necessary to attach vinyl hose. 3.) Flow Nitrogen, CO2 or water through the Sludge Sucker and watch the sludge and algae get sucked out of the drain line and blown out onto the ground.

This thing can really suck it loose most of the time, but when water reaches the Ventury the suction cuts in half or more. *You can block the exit port with your hand and cause it to blow back into the condensate pan then release and continue pulling a vacuum on the drain line to break a hard to clean line loose. There is plenty of times where I'll still use a positive pressure clearing device instead because it's faster and a lot quieter.

I bought this to keep from having to climb into attics to remove clogs, but if there are any vents in the drain line you have to climb up there anyway to cap them off cause this will not work unless the drain line is sealed. Works perfect on clogged drain lines that are sealed.
