This worked great during my week-long vacation in Taipei. I set it up before my arrival in Taipei. The data worked fine while I was in Taiwan. I took several tours in rural areas. I still had coverage in those areas. I never experienced a time without coverage. The only problem I had with the eSIM was that I needed to restart my phone. After restarting, my phone picked up the eSIM and provided good service throughout my vacation. There is only data with the esim. There is no local Taiwan number associated with this esim. I had no issues with Uber / Ubereats with this esim in Taiwan.

don't be like me and assume that your iphone 15 pro will work, when i haven't paid it off with my carrier yet.with a few days left of my trip, and sick of carrying two phones (my mom had an extra phone with data), i paid off my phone, got it unlocked, and added the sim with no problems.you'll have to do some adjusting if you've been using imessages, because there were a few issues and i'm not getting text messages from people in america. but since this is data only, it's understandable.but yeah, i got about 5 days use out of this in taipei and it was pretty fast, like i was able to stream youtube on the metro.

I go to Taiwan about once a year. Always looking for a 'phone' solution. I typically get myself the 4g portable data access (this is my go - to). However, this year I got this e-sim and used it as well...this works well. Arriving at TPE my phone automatically hooks into the wifi as it's pre-set each year. :) this allowed me to set up the e-sim...and it worked flawlessly while I was there. I'm very happy with this product!

Overall nice coverage, worked well. It did turn off immediately after the 7 days (7x24 hours) was up, but the setup was pretty easy over airport wifi at TPE. Speeds seemed to be pretty quick, too. It is on the more expensive side, but it is unlimited data.

This eSIM from mewfi is another hit for me. I have used several eSIMs from mewfi and they have all worked very well for me. The price for this eSIM is extremely affordable and I get unlimited data.Activation was simple, I just indicated the day I was going to arrive in Taiwan and when I landed, data worked immediately in Taiwan.On my previous trip, it was a little bit of a hassle getting a SIM/eSIM at the airport but having a data plan already set and ready to go was a game changer, I was able to leave the airport immediately.mewfi support is also excellent. Be sure that your phone is unlocked, I bought my phone directly from Apple so no issues there.Service was great all throughout Taipei and even when I went to Shifen and Jiufen. Highly recommended.Unlimited data is a game changer and important in Taiwan for train rides as they can be long and being on the phone is a nice way to pass the time.

We travel to Taiwan annually to visit family and it is always pain to on arrival to get a plan so I can contact people locally and have data etc. This would easily allow me a no hassle way to to have service on arrival to contact people and setup ongoing service for our whole stay. The overall setup is not simple, and involves going online and setting up a schedule and getting a plan ahead of your trip and hopefully it all works seamlessly. The document you get for this though has very thorough directions and is easy to follow to make sure you get it setup properly, so I feel very confident there should not be any problems. If it all works well, I will use this again next year, etc. for the convenience it provides.

I got this for our annual trip back to see my family, so we can have service immediately on landing and don't have to delay heading home from the airport. What you get is strictly a booklet on how to go through the setup. You go to their website and pick your plan and the date you plan to arrive in Taiwan. The plan will be active once you enable the eSim after landing and you will have 7 days of free service before you plan activates, if you do not cancel. This will make travel so much simpler and if there are no issues with this process I will be using it every time we go back.
