This upcycled rain barrel has worked well for us. The fittings are tight and we haven't had any issues with leaks. That said, it probably wouldn't hurt to put a little sealant around the fittings as needed as time goes on. This barrel allows you to completely remove the top and clean out the inside of the barrel if you need to - hoping I don't need to! The mesh cover is sturdy, but is easily replaceable in case it tears. The spigot is conveniently located and there's an overflow spigot and a connecting spigot (for another barrel) as well. To those complaining that the barrel is scuffed a bit - it IS an upcyled product - in this case it was used to ship olives. And yes, there's a bit of an olive smell/minimal oil residue during its first uses but the plants didn't seem to mind. Personally, I like the idea of reusing this and it's got a cool embossed logo on it as well. Definitely recommend!

Price ceckedmany of these. I like that it's made from recycled material. It's big and the top opening with screen is very nice! I will be buying 2 more from this company!

This rain barrel put some pop in my overall backyard appearance. It did arrive with a dent in middle of barrel, but couple of love taps with a rubber mallet took most of dent out. Just waiting for some rain now.

Rain barrels are very nice and I’m proud to have them. The trouble is, FED EX was used to deliver them and the driver put them on my wheelchair ramp making it impossible for me to get in or out of the house.

I received the barrel and to my dismay the bottom was all scratched up and discolored. When trying to return it the cost of shipping was more than the cost of the barrel. The barrel looks like it would be well built with a good price, but I paid for a new one, not a used one. Likely it is a good product but am very disappointed in the distributer.

The advantage of this type of rain barrel is that unlike other barrels with a fixed or attached top, this barrel allows you to completely remove the top and clean out the inside of the barrel. The mesh cover is easily replaceable with window screen netting in case it tears. The spigot is conveniently located saving you the trouble of installing one yourself. I plan on purchasing more or these and linking them.

Although I recommend adding some sealant around the spivots, to avoid any small leaks, the item is very sturdy and works well. I now have 3 like it.
