Installation Steps:
Step1: Replace the original hood latches with ours and tighten it.
Step2: Removing the original unscrewing buckle, tighten the hood latches with our unscrew buckle.

Unfortunately, it can be unlocked with a gem clip or screwdriver . The lock needs work.

I recently sold my BMW M4 and decided to buy a 2021 Rubicon JL 2Dr, I thought I did my homework before committing...did not realize the hood did not lock. Likewise, the gas cap did not come with a lock. I ordered the MOCW Hood Latches/Locks and was not disappointed when I opened the box--they look durable and almost like an exact replacement for the stock latches. I installed both locks in minutes and noticed a slight issue with one of the latches...the locking loop would not automatically clear the hood when the latch handle was pulled back. It was a weak spring. Instead of requesting a return from Amazon, I contacted the Kunttai Company (seller) and within hours I received an apology and I agreed to accept a replacement hood lock. I was impressed with the Kunttai's customer support! There were no C19 staffing excuses...just an apology and promise to immediately replace the hood lock! If I require additional items for my Jeep and Kunttai can provide the support, it's a no brainer...at least for me!

As a consumer buying online, I’m always concerned that the pictures are much better than the actual product. Not in this case!! The Factory Look, Feel, and ease of installation far exceeded my expectations!! I recommend this to anyone wanting to Upgrade to a Secure Locking Latch.

My first thought about these was, what a great idea! Then I bought and installed them and realized that it's a great idea not realized by these latches. Installation of these is no harder or easier than other Jeep hood latches, and they look and feel solid. The problem is the "locking" mechanism: finnicky, flimsy and poorly designed. I had to jump through hoops trying to lock and unlock them. Also, they don't seem to be as secure as MOPAR latches. My recommendation: save yourself some money and don't buy these. Mine went in the trash and I reinstalled the old ones--very disappointed.
