499901 Spring and Pulley Assembly Replaces 499897 31-041 OEM Parts.

Installation is easy. Before disassembling and installing, please make sure to save the original other parts.

The spring and the pulley are separate, you need to take the spring out of the package and carefully install it into the pulley.

1. Disassemble the damaged original parts in the lawn mower.

2. Carefully place the pulleys into the housing

3. Install pawl assembly and tighten it to proper torque.

4. Wind the spring as tight as possible, then pull it back until the cord holes in the pulley line up with the cord holes in the housing.

5. Slide the drawstring through, you can use some tools like string or pliers.

6. Once it is threaded, continue to hold the pulley and tie a knot at the end of the rope that was threaded.

7. Loosen the pulley and put the drawstring in, allowing it to wind itself.
