The original plastic OEM part in my vehicle just disintegrated from the inside out. I ordered another one of the same construction. When the shipping got messed up with that one I stumbled across this aluminum one and ordered it. This one beat the plastic one to my house so I installed it. NO LEAKS!! Very much more reliable than the plastic type. I will be sending that plastic one back to the other company ASAP!

The original coolant outlet flange that shipped with the 2012 Volkswagen Tiguan and other cats with the CCTA motor was made of a plastic composite. It literally disintegrated and needed replacement. Had the part been made of aluminum from the beginning, it would never need to be changed. If you have the above mentioned motor, buy this part and change it ASAP!
