This product that I bought broke after the first batch of chestnuts, I wouldn’t recommend this product to anybody go to the old-fashioned way using a knife. I can’t send it back cause I can’t find a box so I got stuck with it again. Do not buy this item.

This product is flimsy, the metal is of inferior quality and it doesn't cut through the chestnut shell. Do not buy it.

The quality of this unit is good considering the amount of force you’re putting on it to crack the chestnuts never knew a unit like this existed but now that I do, I don’t know how I got by without it

The knives are domed so they cut way too deepSmaller home grown chestnuts will not cutThe serrations the blades cut terribly and crush the nutsI’m so upset I bought two one as a gift for someone else. I would love to get a refund and I may start one tomorrow if I save the box
