Such a nice product to place in your dog's crate or bedding for helping them to be comfortable especially on warm days. I've tried heavy duty type cooling pads that involved adding water. I live in a very hot state and they were useful for the patio except I found out that scorpions loved to hide under them. So I will be using this method from now on to keep my pets cool in the hot months. This indoor portable cooling blanket is a safe, easy way to provide comfort to your pets and avoid surprises like poisonous pests hiding underneath. I like the medium size as its easy to toss multiple blankets in the washing machine and not bog down an older washer. You can feel the coolness of the material against your face. I'm actually considering getting a small one just for myself to have on my bed pillow. When I'm fighting a terrible headache I want the coolness around my head/face. I can see this product being so useful for that purpose. Please consider that if you are one of the many people who deal with migraines or sinus headaches. I don't see any reason why it couldn't be utilized for that use. The cooling mat has a quality look and feel to it which means the product should hold up well under regular use. I have five dogs and the seniors seem to favor the cooling mat over the other bedding covers. This is an affordable product which I would highly recommend to provide comfort to your pets. I'll be getting more of these for my other dogs for sure! Thumbs up on this item.

This mat is ok. It’s thin, with a grippy bottom side, and a smooth top side. It does feel slightly cool but it’s not enough to make my puppy seek it out. I keep it on the bed at night, and the floor during the day, so that he can utilize it when he feels warm or is laying down but he doesn’t seem to use it very much. Maybe that’s just my puppy though (14 week old golden retriever). I’ve also had people say that it looks like a pee pad. I personally don’t use pee pads but if you do—maybe watch out for that, they might confuse the two. This would work well for laying in a crate—either on top of a cushion or just by its self. My puppy sometimes prefers a harder surface so I do think he will use this more and more..he is still learning where everything is and figuring out what he likes.

I was a bit skeptical in looking at this. I believe the concept is to have a layered group of materials that promotes air to get in between and make the surface feel cool.It feels cool to the touch and looks to be made well. There are no loose strings on the stitching.I got it in the hopes my dog will choose to lay on this versus the floor. She does use her dog beds, but I feel she gets warm in them. She usually ends up moving to the hard floor to cool down. Now that I have this in the spot she lays at on the floor she is starting to use it. It's a bit of cushion so it should make her feel better.

This cooling mat is indeed very cool. You can feel it when you stand on it barefoot. I work from a small home office and my dog has 5 beds and this cooling mat to pick from. Yes she is spoiled, all dogs deserve to be spoiled. And when she gets hot she always seeks out this cooling pad and plops down on it with a big sigh like she is the one who was just stuck in a long zoom meeting. She won't lay on it in the mornings when my office is a bit cooler but by mid afternoon and the sun has warmed up things she does often look for it and lays down on it.I can see her use of it only increasing as we are approaching the hot summer months here in Florida. She doesn't lay on it for more than 10-15 min and then goes to one of her beds once cooled off.

This cooling mat does feel cool to the touch but it quickly warms up just by pressing your hand on it. I think it's just too thin to be of real use as a cooling mat. It needs more loft so air can circulate under it while a dog is laying on it. At $40 (for the medium), it should be better. The measurement on my medium was slightly smaller than the listed specs at 29" x 18.5". It is made in China.

I have a cover on my couch to minimize the dog fur. At a casual glance, the cooling mat and the cover looked very similar. They have a similar pattern. But they are not the same. When I put a hand on each, it’s very clear that the cooling mat really is a lot cooler than the couch cover.I shouldn’t admit this, but I’ve been using it for several weeks and haven’t actually washed it yet. I can’t say how well it goes through the wash. What I can say is that my dog is really enjoying it.
