I expected this to feel better-made, but then I looked at the price of around $10 for one and I realized it's pretty good for that price point.The light can't compete well with bright lights, but in the dark it can illuminate a decent size room in a house. It makes neon (for-blacklight) materials glow even far inside my closet when it has to bounce off surfaces from 35 feet away.So this blacklight does its job pretty well. The cord switch is helpful, and the lightweight aspect might be a positive. It gets warmer than I expected for LEDs, but still seems okay if you're not putting things on it.I'd be happy to get another of these to have better blacklight illumination for pictures.

A nice black light right in the wavelength I need for 3d print curing. It is not as high power as the other light I have, but that one actually heats my models up too much, and causes yellowing. A weaker and longer cure seemt to work better for me. I mount this vertical, and place the print on a clear riser on a turn table, and run it for 10 to 20 minutes. Very cost effective. Dry the print with compressed air before curing! Any liquid cleaning solvent present during uv curing will leave white marks.Then when you are done mount the black light on the wall and all of your models will glow

As a child of the 70’s & 80’s black lights were all the rage. When I opened this I was surprised at how light it was, remembering the heavier fluorescent fixtures of the day.Everything but the cord is plastic and the whole unit does feel cheap but also, it is! It has everything you need, black light. It can sit on a table or mount to a wall. Either way you will want to use the mounting brackets as this gets hot and needs the air circulation to keep cool. The instructions do indicate this will get to 104 but I measured 123 degrees at one point. I like the switch on the power cord and it's closer to the plug than the light.At the end of the day, this is a set it and forget it type of thing so the heat shouldn’t cause too much problem. I’ve had it on all day and it didn’t melt. Still, a touch of metal to act as a heat sync would have made me a bit more comfortable. Overall four stars - $12 well spent.

The blacklight was comfortable on my eyes and the light strip did not get that hot after leaving it on for hours at an average room-based temperature. The company states the light range for the blacklight is 26ft. I believe the blacklight only gave adequate light of around 8ft radius. The blacklight should work well for a back-wall setting such as behind a tv or for posters, paintings, wall art and so forth.

Blacklights were always a fun time growing up, so I thought I would get one to amaze my young nieces when they come over. The blacklight is easy to use. There is a switch on the cord, which is long enough for me; a little over six feet. If you would like to mount this, it comes with tools that you can do that with. The blacklight works as expected, making whites shine in my decent sized living room. I am pleased with this product.

I have been trying to replace my husband’s many, many fluorescent black lights with LEDs to help clear up some of our Halloween storage and I have to say these are the best I’ve found. One light covered an entire room. They are lightweight, compact, and they put out a ton of light. One bar lit our entire kitchen. They look great and seem very well made can’t wait to incorporate them in our Halloween decor!
