- A1- There is a small UV bulb to help clean the air in the Air Filter Cartridge,When shaking it, the charcoal will touch the bulb, which sounds like the device is broken. Please don't worry about it,This is normal. The unit is normally undamaged.
- Q2- Why the Air Filter Cartridge was coated with a thin layer of dust when I Open the Package, Is this an old or used Product?
- A2- The MMFilter 7042798-7007067 Air Filter Purification Cartridge contains activated carbon, which can be used together with multiple parts of the filter to remove impurities in the refrigerator. As there are openings at the top and bottom of the filter, some charcoal may shift during transportation, causing the charcoal outside the Cartridge to become thinner. This is normal, not the result of Air Filter damage. Please Wipe the Air Filter Cartridge with a paper towel before installation.

This filter is being advertised as NFS certified but according to the NFS website the company that makes this filter is not certified and are using the certification unlawfully. Do not buy this.

I was dismayed to see how much Sub-Zero water filters cost: $128 for a two-pack here on Amazon. The MMFILTER alternative is a fraction of the cost at $36 for a two-pack. I can't tell any difference in quality of the water between these and the OEM filter, so this is a no brainer in my book. Recommended.
