Really nice sturdy unit. Folds up to a little bigger than a deck of cards. Knocking down a couple stars because the instructions aren't really clear on whether you need to use a powerbank or can direct-charge with this.

I don't have specialized equipment to test this solar panel, so connected it to a small 5V DC motor for a basic functionality check. Unfortunately, the motor kept stopping every few seconds and then restarting, indicating unstable power output. I also couldn't get a reliable current reading with a multimeter. Thinking the unit might be defective, ordered a second one, but it exhibited the same issue. I was really hoping this would work, especially given its compact design. For comparison, tested a similarly rated FlexSolar 30W panel and was able to achieve stable motor operation and successfully measure the current.

This is a decent product. The design does have a bit of a cheap feel to it, but gets the job done although it is slow to charge in my experience. I was out on a bit of a hike recently and took this with me to test out. It charged my iPhone 15 PM slowly, but it does work. In an emergency situation it would be of great value, just wish the build quality was a bit better.

I got this to try out on hikes as spring is here and summer is coming, and I got to try it out this past weekend on a small hike. The solar charger folds flat, and looks/feels rugged, the power ports on the unit have seals so they should hold up to rainy hikes as well. The charger seems to work well enough, albeit slowly, it only charges via the USB-C port at a max rate of 15W, which is good enough in emergencies, and given the size of the unit is quite impressive.I'm knocking off a star because it's advertised as 25W, but that seems to be the combined output on the USB-A and USB-C ports, which you'll probably never seen outside of direct overhead sunlight.Overall, this is an easy to use solar charger which can directly charge your phone, power bank, etc. when you're out on a long bike ride, hike, or a camping trip, It's built ruggedly and functions as expected, so if you're in the market for something like this -- this unit might be worth a try.

It works as intended. It successfully charges my iPhone 15 Pro (3274 mAh) and a 30W, 20Ah Baseus power bank. However, due to its limited 5V output, it needs a strong solar ray to charge iPads—and it does charge even iPad Pro 11 inch. However, to charge an iPad faster, you’ll need to use a power bank with higher voltage output.Charging speed varies depending on sunlight availability. It’s very easy to use and has a compact, lightweight design (4.65 x 6.42 x 1.38 in), making it ideal for powering small devices with low power requirements. That said, the build quality leaves much to be desired for the price. It feels somewhat cheap, and the folding mechanism is a bit stiff, likely due to the thick connector between panels. While it includes two hooks, they’re not very effective for properly angling the panels toward the sun. Altogether, these issues reduce its overall value for money.

I'm really pleased with this solar panel. I lay it out on my roof mid-morning and with-in a couple of hours it has collected enough power coupled with an Anker-C200 to charge several devices. On a sunny day (early March in the UK) I get 20-23W without fussing about positioning. Having said that there does need to be some sun, a grey day won't yeld anything.

This is a 25W (sort of) folding solar panel with USB-A and USB-C outputs. It cannot charge a single device at 25W; instead, it can provide 15W (5V@3A) on the USB-C and 12W (5V@2.4A) on USB-A, or 25W combined. And that is if you have full sunlight coming at the correct angle. Still, that's what a low-end AC charger would provide.Otherwise, it does what it claims. It has it in the New Mexico midday sun, and it says it will take 30 minutes to top off my 5000 mAh phone, which is at 85%. I'd do the math, but the phone is 18 months old, and the charge remaining is a wild guess on any phone. Suffice it to say I'm getting close to 15W.The unit is light, less than a pound, and folds up nicely, about the size of a medium to large paperback book. It includes an elastic strap for easy transport and two small carabiners to drape it over a tent or backpack. It is pretty floppy, it might take some work to get it angled to charge at maximum efficiency. It is reasonably durable, although I'd be careful not to bang it against anything or put anything heavy on it. It is water—and dust-resistant, and both of the USB ports have rubber plugs. I wouldn't drop it in the water, but you should be fine walking in the rain.It claims to have a 25.4% conversion rate, near the top of commercially available solar panels. I haven't tested this, but I am a bit skeptical. This product does not include a battery or the controller/converters needed to integrate into a large-scale solar system like one you'd find on a boat or an RV. This product is for charging devices and smaller USB power banks.

The [Pocket-Size] BigBlue Lightweight 25W Solar Panel Charger (ASIN: B0DXVGD15W) is actually pretty great! It's like the size of a thick paperback book, and a bit heavy, but seems tough, and designed to last. Simply unfold the 8 small panels and start getting power. A blue light on the back shows it's generating. Even in cloudy conditions today, it still charges things. The blue light is on the back of one of the panels, in a large hump that sticks out from the center of it, and that's where the USB-A and USB-C ports are, covered by some rubber plugs. It comes with two small carabiners that can be clipped into small holes at the edge of many of the panels, The outside of the panels comes with a kind of rugged fabric type covering, while the inside of the panels is like a kind of rubber! When folded up, they only provide a little stretchy band to hold things closed. I would have wished for a snap closure, a small carry sack, or something better than a stretchy band. I suppose you could clip the carabiners onto the edges to store them, too, leaving only your USB-A or C cable to lose track of.Overall, seems like a nice product, if a slight bit expensive, but sure to help keep power to your phone or small devices.
