I purchased this as a replasement because we all know these go bad at 2am in the morning in the winter. well mine did. and just installed it in my Goodman furnace 92 efficiente. here is the issue in the replacement. The metal plate for which the screw hole is attatched to mount it is wider and doesn't allow it to clear to block where the gas enters. I solved this by grinding off carefully one side about an 1/8 of an inch and it cleared fine and is working as it should. just puttin it out there that some applications will require mods. This igniter element seems more stout compared to the original,and time will tell the durability factor. I will provide updates when it fails,or any issues going forward. god bless

I like the quality of the upgrade but fitment is a problem. Since it is much larger than the OE version the Igniter rests against the flame burner assembly and it should be spaced away from it. I was able to correct the spacing using 1/2 of a small washer to make it tilt slightly away from the burner. Now, maybe this isn't necessary at all. I am not an expert but I did not want the igniter resting against the burner. A heater repair expert may say this makes no difference but I wanted no issues. This unit works perfectly and has a much better construction than the OE version.

My house unit burned up this piece and a company was charging over $400 just to come take a look and replace this. My husband ordered this piece as ours burnt out during the winter storm in December and it arrived in 2 days! He said it was plug and play and so far has held up real nice!

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS SELLER!!!!!!! Ignitor was correct but failed. I Purchased this 3/9/24, it failed 12/20/24. It had a 1 year warranty. I contacted the seller Vicalltec, but had NO RESPONSE. I contacted Amazon and they are issuing a refund and providing a shipping label for the return. THANK YOU AMAZON!

These are a direct replacement for the bad ones. I like it that they are a little heavier, and they seem to hold up better.
