I recently gave the Ultimate 18-Piece Griddle Cleaning Kit a shot during my seasonal grill refresh, and overall, it does what it promises. It’s a solid starter set for keeping a flat top grill in decent shape, especially if you’re using a Blackstone or similar model. The range of tools feels complete at first glance, but after a few cleanings, the real MVP—and the Achilles’ heel—is the brush.The heat-resistant brush is genuinely the most useful piece in the kit. It makes scrubbing off greasy buildup way less painful. Unfortunately, it just doesn’t last. After a few heavy-duty cleanings, the bristles start to wear down noticeably, and the head loosens. Given how effective it is, it's a shame it doesn't hold up for long-term use.Now about those orange sponges—so many of them, and it’s not entirely clear why. They look identical and don't seem to offer any added variety or distinct advantage over having fewer, more durable scrubbing options. If you’re anything like me, you’ll end up using just a couple and leaving the rest to gather dust in a drawer.My unsolicited suggestion to the manufacturer? Cut down on the number of orange sponges and toss in a second brush instead. That way, when the first one inevitably bites the dust, you’re not left mid-clean with a greasy griddle and no good tool to finish the job.

The kit comes with most of what I need to clean my grill. It gets so dirty here in the South and I decided after I clean it really good in the future, as I did just recently, I am putting the nice cover on it that I have since it’s washable. It’s going to save me from cleaning the outside so much. The tools it comes with are more for the grill grates and I can always use help with that. My two favorite items were the the flat edge scraper..super handy for the stuck on stuff on the size of the grates that are otherwise difficult to get off. The second one is the wiry brush to clean the grates.The other parts of the kit are the handles for the pumice type stone that comes with it and extra, and the other is where the heavy duty sponge goes on. The plastic is made lightweight and kind of cheap for these but it didn’t make any difference really when I used them. The only thing that would make this a perfect kit would be to have it come with a drawstring bag or otherwise another holder of some type. I used some plastic zip bags for now.A good kit and I think a nice gift for someone who is hard to buy for or who loves to grill, and perhaps someone with a new grill as these will get used as grilling can be messy and greasy but boy is it worth it to taste the food it makes.Lastly, the key to cleaning really icky grates is to heat the grill up for 10 to 15 minutes. Let it cool down a bit, then take a really cold bucket of water and dip the wire brush in it. It worked so well when I did that and I do believe the product site gives instructions.

This is an outstanding griddle cleaning set. It works very well getting even the toughest bits of food off the griddle. I also found it to not be too aggressive as some cleaning tolls will hurt your seasoning off the grill. This is definitely a great cheap alternative to the name brand of my grill.

Used it for my stainless steel griddle insert, and the sponge was able to remove some stains. The scraper is the best part because it really was able to clean to top of my stainless steel griddle. The sponge gets worn out easily, but still good, in my opinion. This is a good cleaning set to have for griddles and for grills as well. Overall, I am satisfied with this product and will absolutely recommend it.
