We bought this in May ‘24 and it’s the end of December. We’ve had it seven months. We had to order this part as old clips that lasted for about five years on our crappy Kitchenaid broke. Again…This part lasted seven months. These little clips are what keep the dishwasher upper drawer on the tracks so that you can slide the drawer in and out when you load and unload it. With both of these clips now broken on one side, we can’t even put any dishes in that top drawer or it’ll fall down. So Frustrating appliances & parts are now so cheaply made. Would not recommend.

Well I said it in the "headline". Perfect fit, exact match, delivered in 1 day. It was awesome until it wasn’t just a couple of months in and the part broke.

I was very hopeful when I purchased this part in Aug 2023. It was a complicated repair and I had hope that I would not have to do again for a while. Here I am in Nov 2024, just over a year later and the part has broken again. I bought a more expensive part hoping for better quality but looks like that is not the case. If I have to do this once a year I'll buy cheaper parts.

I had to watch a video for replacing, but it wasn't overly hard to do. Fit and looked just like the original part. We'll see how it holds up. But since the original part broke and they are both plastic, I'm not too concerned. Except that I had to order a second part to replace the one on the other side because a piece broke off the original part when I was removing the upper basket.

Update Jan 2025: The part lasted about 19 months after installation and failed in the same place as the original. For 12 dollars you get 2 replacements. I put the 2cd one in today and it was easier than the first time. Also ordered another pack of 2. Cheaper than a new dishwasher....This replaces what they call the upper rack adjuster on various dishwashers like my Kitchenaid. I'm sure that after you've done a few, this is an easy, quick fix. I spent more time figuring it out than I did putting it together. Total time was about an hour. I'd give this five stars if there were included instructions that anyone could follow. There's probably a video on you tube, but I didn't bother looking for it.I'm sure this assembly is intended for experienced repair people, but there's no reason that most people can't figure this out. There are three parts (see picture-sorry for the fine red lines and hard water stains, but on my phone...) that do not come with this piece that you must be careful not to break or lose. I used a small flat-head screwdriver to gently pry the large gray center box apart. I wish I could tell you whether you pull the top lever up or down to do this, but I'm just not sure. It only moves about a 1/4 inch at most and you hear a pop when it moves.Find a way to support the rack while you work. I used a bucket sitting on the open door to support the rack. The piece on the left, closest to the inside, is the easiest to remove and I did that first. The piece on the far right is actually two pieces. I did that second. Save all the pieces. You need them for reassembly. Pay close attention to how they fit together. I used the assembly I was not replacing for reference often. Definitely do not remove both at once. The box in the middle is two pieces also. It pries apart at the seam and it seems best to start at the bottom. You'll see there are two nubs that fit into a hole on each side at the bottom left and right of the outside cover. You have to pry just enough to get those nubs out of the holes. Once you do that, the outside cover hinges up sort of and then comes off. You can then take the box off the rack and the broken adjuster comes off.I assembled in the same order as I took it apart. Left side sliding piece first, right side piece second, box assembly last. The rack likes to move. A helper to hold it would be good.Take your time, be gentle, pay attention. You'll get it together.

This company is awesome. The parts came quickly. They fit perfectly. Two weeks ago I had installed original Kitchenaid parts on the opposite of the rack so there is a basis for comparison. These parts seemed sturdier. The major issue is Kitchenaid/Whirlpool's cost-saving engineering of the original parts. The small plastic clips meant to hold a filled, heavy dishwasher rack are going to fail with use. For that reason alone, I would buy from this company at 1/3 of the cost of the original. FYI: My dishwasher model is: KDTM354DSS4.

This inexpensive rack adjuster is a perfect replacement, and it's easily installed by even an inexperienced home handyman in under 15 minutes. No tools necessary. How to remove and replace it, though, isn't obvious, so search "install WPW10546503" on YouTube for a video for directions. Indeed, if you do that before buying this, viewing the video will give you confidence that you can do it and that your purchase won't be in vain. As always, view the video closely and expect to have a bit more difficulty in snapping and unsnapping pieces than the person in the demonstration does. The list of models that this fits is incomplete on this Amazon page. For example, my dishwasher model is not listed. To see if it fits an unlisted model, go to Whirlpool on line, plug in the model number and search for upper rack adjuster.

Replacement part was not straight forward to install and failed within the first year of use. I would not recommend this part as a replacement.

This rack adjuster broke on my Kitchen Aid dish washer, which is only three years old. I went to the local appliance store to order the part. I was told that the part costs $60., not know any better I ordered the part. The price seemed high so at home I checked on the internet. I went to a Kitchen Aid site and discovered the part is made by Whirlpool and the cost was $32. I went back to the store and canceled my part. Now that I had the Whirlpool part number, which I discovered is also stamped on this part I found it on Amazon for $7.12. When I received the part the next day, I went back to the appliance store to complain about their gouging prices. The only difference that could be explained is that my part didn't come in a Whirlpool parts bag. Who cares about the bag, that gets thrown out. I saved $53. by ordering from this dealer on Amazon. Both parts are identical, part numbers and mold markings on the plastic part are the same. Great savings!

I ordered this part to replace a part on my KitchenAid dishwasher which broke. The original part does not appear to be that durable as it is plastic and others report similar breakage, which should not happen that quickly. The part was somewhat difficult to install as it is not intuitive, however I managed by paying attention when I took it apart and did only one side so I could reference the part position, as well as useful YouTube video. Once installed it worked well for a few months and then broke. It did not last, so I don't recommend this part.

I have a Kitchen Aid dishwasher, model KUDE48FXSS6 and this item fit perfectly. I have only had it in operation for approximately one month, so far no problems. Time will tell how durable this part is.
