This hide a key is a little beefier than I need but none the less it works great. It closes tight and seals up nicely. The three big magnets are great as it doesn't even move when taking my camper down the road so no need to worry about it falling off. If you are lookin for a well built heavy duty hide a key box this is the one for you!!

The magnets are strong so no worry of losing it due to it coming off. The box is waterproof but the issue is trying to open the box. The clasp is super tight. maybe too tight. I couldnt open it no matter what i did until I used my teeth the reall get in there to wedge it open. I guess you could see that as a good thing.

This is not your standard "hide-a-key" box and is much larger than what I've had before. That could be seen as a negative, depending on the space you have for stashing, but it works for us. It's made of a hard plastic and appears to be durable. There's foam inside the case to protect the key. My keyfob for 2021 Hyundai Palisade fit in the faraday bag no problem. The negative is that the latch was difficult for me to open. My husband didn't as much of an issue but he still had to work at it. Maybe it's a positive because we don't have to worry about it popping open accidentally. The description indicates it's "weather resistant", not "weather proof" so I'm not sure how it will hold up if directly exposed to rain or snow (although, if hidden underneath a vehicle, that shouldn't factor). We haven't traveled with it under our motorhome as of yet so I can't speak to whether it will stay in place. But, I was impressed by how strong the magnets are so I don't anticipate any issues.

When I got this stash box to hide my car keys on the exterior of my car, I had a very difficult time opening the latch for the box itself. I suppose this is a good thing as it will not easily unclip to lose the contents inside. It required a lot of force using two hands to pop open.The big reason I chose this set was the included faraday bag to prevent the key from wirelessly detecting and auto unlocking my car from the outside. Unfortunately the faraday bag included is extremely small, and would only fit something the size of a regular car key, not a key fob. I have a Toyota keyfob which is fairly standard size for most keyfobs, and it does not fit down the narrow opening of the bag. I ended up cutting the bag half open just to still squeeze my keyfob into it - definitely not an ideal solution. So for my intended use case for this, to keep my key hidden and secure outside of the car without having to take it with me a non-working faraday RFID blocking bag would not work for me.Other than this, the actual box seems to be of okay quality. The plastic isn't the heaviest duty, but it's very hard. It also doesn't appear to have any rubber lining around the seal to weather proof, so I'm not sure I'd trust it to be waterproof. The hard plastic material may also be prone to cracking on impact or over time but we'll see. The magnets on the box are nice though, they are fairly strong and stick to anything metal with ease. I also do wish the opening latch was a bit easier to pull apart it actually hurts my fingers to open.

That 3rd magnet makes a big difference compared to the normal hide a keys with only 2. On surfaces with only a slight magnetic draw it holds much much better with the extra magnet.

This case is not well constructed. It has the look of a tough case but it is made of fairly thin, hard plastic that is not well reinforced. The simple latch mechanism is difficult to open especially if you have large hands or are wearing gloves. When I attempt to open it, I always feel like I'm going to break it. When there's something large inside, it puts even more pressure on the latch and makes it even worse. And if the case is used when the temperature drops, it feels even more delicate. The box also claims to be waterproof, yet there's no rubber incorporated into the seal. It is just plastic on plastic. The gap between the lid surfaces gets tighter when you push them. Water could easily pass through this gap. The powerful magnets are attached to the box by small bolts. The magnets incorporate a clear silicone gasket in an attempt to protect the finish of the surface where the magnet is applied. The thought is right but the silicone ring does not protrude enough from the level of the metal magnet to be effective. Because these magnets stick out so far from the box, the box will also stick out from the surface where the box is placed. If you are thinking of putting this box on the bottom of your car, be aware that it will hand low and be more subject to hitting things and getting knocked off.I do like that there is an interior pocket made to accommodate an AirTag. This means the key fob can be secluded in the faraday bag and the tracker can still do its thing outside the bag. The faraday bag is just large enough for my Subaru key fob. It has a velcro seal and does seem to do a good job of blocking the signal from the fob or from an AirTag if placed inside. A key ring clip is also included.Everything about this product feels cheaply made.
