Compared t our previous magnetic screen, this is night and day. Much better material quality, easier fitting and the magnets make far more sense.In this screen, the magnets run all the way down in a continuous line. Such a method ensures the screen stays fully closed from any intrusion of wasps, bees or mosquitos. The magnets themselves are strong enough, not pulling apart at all in any windy conditions experienced so far.The material has a high quality feel and shouldn't rip or tear for a very long time. We do have the screen on a North facing door, but it's not the type of material to leave you guessing about UV issues from summer sunlight.The 'stay open' hooks were easy enough to fit and work well for their function.One tip, is that after fitting the top section may pull away with repeated higher winds. The glue isn't up to abuse from such things. What we have done is to drive a couple of tacks into the top section, securing it fully. Otherwise, fitting was an, erm, breeze. The glued edges make securing to a wood frame easy.As a summary, a very nice stylish upgrade to our previous magnetic screen and it does look exactly like the pics shown on the product page.

Our back door opens out, so a conventional screen door is almost impossible without being a hassle. This has solved our issues of being able to have the door open and keep the buggies out.It is simple and easy to install. The only hiccup, hence the four stars, is the tape. It does not hold. Thankfully I had some old carpet tape laying around and cut it down for the install.The screen itself is durable and of good quality. The instructions are simple and easy to follow. We have two dogs, one small and another which is 77 pounds. Once he figured out the screen, if you know dog's, you know the in and out game. The magnets snap back into place very quickly and do hold well.We are finally able to limit bugs flying in and be able to keep the back door open for the breeze. Overall very happy with the product.

I ordered the HOFUDON Upgraded Magnetic Screen Door Mesh, Full Strip Magnets, Heavy Duty Fiberglass Mesh, Single Door Size 33 x 80 Inch, Screen Door Size 35.4 x 82.7 Black. We have had several different brands of pretty much similar mesh screen door over the last few years. They never last very long. I have higher expectations for this one. Mainly because of the full length magnetic strip. Every other mesh door has had a few small magnets spaced a few inches apart running the length of the door. Yes, it does snap shut, and it does stay shut. But, there are gaps between each magnetic closure. In gusty winds, it can come open. But this mesh screen door doesn't do that. Again, because of the full length single magnetic strip. I have been looking for this style for a while. I'm excited to get this. It looks like all the rest, but better. Because of no gaps! What a brilliant concept. I don't know about you, but I always had trouble with something that I was carrying would get caught up in between the magnets of the other style door, and eventually the magnets would snag off, or break, and before you know it, the door doesn't snap closed, and looks raggedy. I think this style is going to perform MUCH better overall and for a longer amount of time. The mesh is small enough to keep the no-see-ums out, too. And all of the flying bugs that warm weather brings. I appreciate this, because I have a dog who freaks out when he sees a flying insect in the house. This screen door is an UPGRADE to the one it replaced. That's a great thing. And I will probably get another one to keep on hand, because it's just that good. Maybe you could upgrade too!

This is the second one of these I've tried. I had the OG magnetic screen door, and this is far superior. The mesh is thicker, so my dogs wont tear it up trying to go out as easy. The magnets are strong and keep the door closed. Almost too strong, you actually have to put in effort to break the magnetism if the solid door behind the screen is closed. Though my dog that's a chihuahua mix is still able to open it just fine. Only thing I'm a bit concerned about is the adhesive for the velcro backing. It was hard to get the paper off it, which usually means cheaper adhesive. But if it starts drooping I'll just tack it with staples or brad nails.

I'm an apartment dweller. I've had many of these screens. When I saw this one had magnets all the way down, I was intrigued. One of my complaints is my other ones had space between magnets, never held strong. This one cancelled that whole issue. It also made the whole screen better. I didn't realize one of our cats was out on the balcony last night before bed. She's fine, but also so is the screen. I could see where she tried to scratch and then actually fully climb the screen, as evidenced by her claw sheddings I found stuck in it. She is a 12 lb cat. The screen weave flexed and didn't rip. AND I was able to shape it back to normal. This is an actual weave made to flex and give, not printed squares. I'm beyond impressed. Add in extra strong velcro and the extra side hooks...this is the only screen I'll buy. It runs circles around all the others and feels like it will hold up. Thank you to the makers of this screen, I'm thrilled with it!

We have one of these for our garage door and added this one to our breezeway door. Love the flexibility of getting air flow without letting bugs (or in our case, chickens!) have free range of the space. Full seal allows the fabric to fit well and seal solidly. Our dog quickly learned he could go in and out to escape the chickens when they are free ranging in the yard - bonus points! Easy to install, easy to take down for storage. I'd recommend these for any space where you want a breeze and no bugs. Thinking getting one for our camper because my hubby can't seem to make sure the screen door is shut properly!
