I don't have room for a full sized oscilloscope at the moment and am always up for discovering new and useful tools. When I saw this, I thought "this is a tool with potential".I like that this has a number of built-in tools: 10Mhz oscilloscope, signal generator, and component tester to name a few. The LCD screen, while not huge, is nice and bright and easy to read. Another big plus for this device is the rechargeable battery. If you've ever read any of my other reviews, you might right now be thinking I've fallen and hit my head. Yes, it's true I'm usually a proponent for devices using external batteries. However, those are in cases where you may have a sudden and unexpected need like in cases of a flashlight or multimeter and don't have time to charge them. However, with oscilloscopes, I don't generally run into scenarios where I don't have time to plan ahead and ensure the scope is charged. If I had to come up with items to dislike, I guess I could throw out the standard wish list for small portable scopes and list items such as the small screen, 10Mhz bandwidth and lack of multi-channel ability. I could probably also complain about the menu system. However, for a scope this size and price, those are not realistic expectations. With smaller size and cost come compromises and, to be honest, considering all that, this little unit does a pretty good job.In terms of functionality, it seems to work just fine. I've used it on a couple of simple circuits with decent results. I've also used the component tester quite a bit. In my mind, this is one of the most useful aspects of this device. It does a good job reading transistors, diodes, resistors, etc.. With each, the display indicates the type of component and its rating. I've found it to be a nice visual confirmation while attempting to teach my kids how to read the colored bands on resistors for example.I'll admit that I've looked at the signal generator but have not actually tested it in any way to see if the output matches what is displayed on the unit. However, considering how well everything else has worked on it, I'd be shocked if it didn't work decently as well.Overall, I have found this to be a nice little multi-tool device that has easily earned a spot in my electronics drawer.

This is a nice multi-function instrument that offers some basic functions for the DIYer. I have a bench scope but that is not very useful in the shop. This digital oscilloscope is a great tool for working automotive and other electronics away from the clean bech environment. It lacks some features of the bench scope, such at dual channels, and is quite a bit more cumbersome to use. But this is all part of the tradeoff for having such a capability in a small package. There's a pretty good learning curve to navigating the modes and all the settings due to the limited number of interface buttons for the menu options. The scope is fairly staight forward to use. You can adjust the trigger mode (increase/decrease signal, etc). It takes some getting used to with the small screen and limited display info. But once you get the feel for it, it provides a good display of the dynamics you want to see. I haven't used the full capabilities of this in testing components like transistors and capacitors, but it seems straight forward to do this.I can give this 5-stars because it provides a decent scope function along with the myriad of other funtions. The battery powered feature is great. I've used this in extensive sessions learning the menus and testing the scope and function generator and the battery has no issues with capacity.I will say to emphasize, don't lose the instructions as they provide good information on the menu structure and navigating it.

This oscilloscope multi-tool is a good solution when you need an inexpensive instrument. It does not have all the bells and whistles that are full oscilloscope has, and doesn't seem to have as many channels as the more expensive scopes, but what it does it does well. It comes with several different probe shapes, is made with an impact resistant plastic, is rechargeable and has a bright screen that although small, is easy to read. It's hard to get used to adjusting the oscilloscope with buttons rather than the dials you will find on the bigger machines, but it is something you can easily get used to. It also acts as a multimeter, and it does a decent job of that as well. I am not the type of person who would use any of the other functions so I cannot speak to those. If you have a student that is learning about electronics or computers, this would be a great starter oscilloscope. It is good enough to do the job, and cheap enough that if it accidentally gets lost or broken it won't break your bank. In initial startup mode, the display is in Chinese but provides the option to switch to English. There are no other languages included, so if you speak something else then it may cause some difficulty.Overall I'm very pleased with this instrument and I'm glad that although it is small it does not use disposable batteries and can be charged.
