The Runtticoon Upgraded Refill Adapter for 1 lb. Tanks, Propane Refill Adapter 20lb to 1lb Converter with Valve and Gauge, QCC1 Propane Adapter for Refillable Propane Cylinder 1 lb,90 Degree Elbow Design for Camping is economical way to ensure full 1 lb LP tanks when you need them. This is an easy-to-use method for refilling 1 lb LP tanks which tend to be expensive and hard to come by depending on your location at the moment. This is well-made adapter that is sturdy and durable. You simply attach a 1 lp LP cylinder to it and attach the adapter to a 20 lb LP cylinder, turn the switch and fill until the gauge needle stops. It's that easy! A helpful hint is to pre-chill the 1 lb cylinder before filling and it will accept more LP. I've had the experience of running out of 1 lb LP in the middle of a trip where there was none available within 100 miles. I now keep this adapter in the gear box of my toy-hauler camper to ensure that doesn't happen again. I'm extremely satisfied with the quality and performance of the Runtticoon LP adapter and consider it an outstanding value!

This propane refill adapter was super easy to use and worked perfectly with a couple different styles of refillable tanks I had on hand. The fit was secure, and the transfer went smoothly each time. Simple, effective, and definitely a handy tool to have around. Would definitely suggest that people seeking to do this watch some how-to videos before hand to see the process

What a great thing to have if you dont want to lug around heavy propane tanks or dont want to buy more than one for your outdoor appliances.I can now top off my small propane bottles and use it on my pizza oven and my griddle and bot have to move the big tank from appliances to barbecue all of the time. With this, cooking outdoors is fun again. It's made of solid brass and plastic and it is super easy to use. I have not had any propane leaks while transferring gas from one tank to another at all.Save your nonet and your back and get one of these ingenious gadgets. You won't be sorry.

I was getting tired of 13 dollar propane canisters for camping. This is an easy solution to fill them off of a grill tank. It has a gage so you can tell when they are full. It's super easy to use, you just screw it onto the grill cylinder and then attach your camping cylinder, open the valve until the gauge says full, and you're done. It's a great tool to save some money and create less waste.

This item works fine but you should be aware of its limitations. Definitely better that the simple, non-valved, adapter that people often use. The challenge is the need to vent the 1-pound cylinders as you are putting the gas in. Internet videos show people venting the cylinder by pulling up on the stem of its relief valve with small needle nose pliers. In my case, that caused a leak in the valve as it wouldn't properly reseat itself. I had to drill out the center of a A/C valve core tool to have something I could use to twist the core and stop the leak. My 1-pound cylinder is probably 5-years old and a newer cylinder might not have had this problem. With the leak stopped, I resumed filling. I had to fill, unscrew, vent (pressing the cylinder's center valve to let air escape), and repeat, 5-times to fully fill the cylinder. The adapter's valve certainly made this easier. This was all done outside, away from ignition sources, since this sort of thing can be dangerous. I don't fill these tanks frequently so this is workable for me. If this was a frequent task for me, I'd probably consider buying a refill kit with ventable tanks. The whole kit is required since the tanks only work with their proprietary adapter. Easier and safer, but definitely more expensive than this economical adapter.

This is my opinion, but not advice on using this to refill 1 lb propane tanks. I think it is excellent as it has a shut off valve that others do not. It saves me about $3 to $4 per refill for each 1 lb container, by just purchasing propane by the pound to fill a 20 lb tank. Then you can simply fill the smaller 1 lb propane tanks. You may recall that PV=nrT, basically proves the temperature rises as the pressure rises. Also, the temperature decreases as the pressure decreases. So it is more efficient to have a warmer 20 lb propane tank and have a refrigerated 1 lb empty propane tank that needs refilling. Of course you should only do refills outside, wear gloves, and use brass caps to seal the 1 lb propane containers after filling. I have found that if you do not keep the smaller 1 lb containers containers connected to any device like a propane torch, the seals on the 1 lb containers will last much longer and be much more safe. I consider this as a very green type device by simply re-using the 1 lb containers as most do with 20 lb propane containers. Another consideration is to gently flush the fill tube of this device so that it removes air, and it's best to not put any air (or oxygen) into the 1 lb propane refill canister.
