Gets the job done. Atleast for me, the front and back cover arent completely flush so there is a slight gap depicted in the picture below.Also to preface, if your key is molded into the black plastic of the old shell, it will have to be broken off with something like pliers before you can insert it into the new shell. Good luck!

quality is what you would expect (average at best) but the fit is terrible, had to remove the batterry cover from the internal fob to fit the case, and the key doesnt fit in the slot very well. Whole thing broke inside of 2 months, very unsatisfied. Going to buy from a different brand and see if thats better, as for this, its getting returned

This is just the housing, so you take the electronic module and the metal key bar out of your broken housing and put it in this. The module fit perfectly, but when I tried to transfer the key bar I found it was a little wider at the base and molded into the old key housing. I could not remove it from there and it looked like it was a little too wide to go into the new housing anyway. Perhaps the year of my Lexus 350 had something to do with it.It looked well made, and I liked that the vendor even included the only tool that would be necessary to make the switch. It was a small investment so I am glad I gave it a try. I wish I had disassembled my old key first, but even then, I might still not have realized that the new housing would be incompatible. I am back to shopping.

This seems to be a good replacement for 09 Lexus key. They previous one the screw stripped and fell out so every time I turned the key it felt like it was going to snap. The install was pretty straight forward. The only issue was breaking of the remaining plastic part that surround the metal key. I had to use a big pair of pliers for the leverage and needle nose pliers to hold it.

Received a car with a broken key shell. Replaced it with this one and it looks brand new. The small part that fits over the neck of the key is a very tight fit. It is an improvement over the original shell, but it is a very tight fit. I needed to use pliers to gently slide the metal key through this part. Better that it is a tight fit than a loose one, though, that could loosen further with each turn in the ignition of your car.

The key shell cracked and so I glued it using steel epoxy. Worked but key looked ... shanty. After a year the epoxy gave out. Saw this product and decided to try it. It worked great! Now the key looks like new and feels very stronger. (And even the car seems to run better... ). If you have a broken key fob case for a compatible Lexus, don't glue, don't hesitate. Get this one and be done with it.
