This is a simple metal base with a straight stand capped off with a bendable top with a standard camera mount on the end. Standard mounts can fit many cameras like security, video or web cameras. It can also fit many "holders" like phone or tablet holds (it includes a small one for camera or phone holder). This is expensive but if you want to put a baby monitor or security camera in a hard to fit spot, this is the perfect solution and it is very flexible. If that fits your needs, the price is worth it.

I'm actually using this to hold a phone running a camera app out my sliding door. It works wonderfully for that, and the included mount isn't springloaded, but rather tightens down like a vice to make sure the phone isn't slipping out or going anywhere, which I like. The fact it includes standard threaded ends as well for cameras that can be mounted is really nice, and that vice like clamp can help make just about any type of camera mountable as well.Keep in mind, if you struggle with mounting one, epoxy is your friend. So are hair ties and velcro cable straps for a less permanent way to fix anything to the end of this. :)
