Did not come with instructions but its not hard to figure out. Mine was missing a white piece but it'll hold better than a bungie strap.

Zero-star item: the rubber hold-down bracket absolutely REEKS of Chinese toxic rubber! You can even smell it with the hood closed just by standing near the battery.Also, the bolts are NOT SIZED FOR NISSAN XTERRA as advertised, they're way too long and stick up too high to close the hood.Thankfully, Amazon gave me a full refund.

The metal bars are ridiculously long - I had to use the bars from my previous holder or I'd never be able to close the hood to my car
