The base torque spec is 20 N•m. But, my digital torque wrench showed a max torque of only 10.11 N•m being reached before the brass sensor body was sheared from the threaded portion. I had to put the original leaking sensor back in while I await a genuine BMW sensor.

BMW specs 20nm + 16⁰ on tightening torque. I got no where close and it snapped in the oil filter housing. Thankfully it was easy to get out. The quality control is terrible with URO. This is not the first part I had fail before even using. The major issue here is that i cant return it. I purchased the part in April and attempted to put it in today, a little past the 30 day return window. Well, I guess I'm out of luck, at least you guys don't have to be. Don't buy this part, pay a little more money and get something decent.

I tried to install this but the item broke as soon as I went to tighten it. I have had the original sensor in and out multiple times without this happening. This is a huge inconvenience because I cannot drive my mini until I get a new sensor. The old one stoped working electronically is the reson for needing a new one.
